Quick Noob Question

So I just joined this site a couple months ago as a suggestion from a friend. Admittedly the first few weeks or month I was pretty much looking to be a leacher. I even gave away 2 bundled games so I could just enter more stuff. Kind of feel bad for that. I've actually started to like this community. But i have a question about getting started.

My question is would it be frowned upon to act under the condition that when/if I win a giveaway I create one?

I've joined a few groups and am trying to be semi active on the forums and such but I'm not one to just give away for the sake of giving. I am only asking this because I was privately called out for trying to join a group before and accused of just looking for free stuff. I just dont know how else to get started more without just giving away money which at this point I am not willing to do. Seems like it's a little hard to get started in this community and I'd really like to join in

most of the 'community' here revolves around generosity. if you cannot accept that, then good luck getting anywhere, because there is nowhere. that is, unless you prove to be an exceptionally active member who posts everywhere... or if you keep solving puzzles, that might make people take notice.

I get that it revolves around generosity. That's part of my reasoning for posting here. Just saying to get started I could either just spend a bunch of money on games and give them away and hope people like me or if im active and give 1:1 would I be looked upon as an active member and not looked down upon anymore

I'd like to do that as well, but I'm missing money for that. I still haven't gifted my copy of Fortix yet! :(

use private giveaways, make them for people who are already friends, giveaway adds to your sgifts profile. you don't need to give to strangers.

You're not even at the level of semi active if you're here for more than anything close to a week. I would say to you, give more cheap sale games that aren't bundled and post in the forums more. I believe you can do those stuff.

I dont see any problem with people not giving away as much as they win. Sites like this help people from less financially fortunate backgrounds to win games, and I think many people do not expect you to give away something in return (the only exception to this being Fortix)

No one is going to complain about you going 1:1 on wins to created, nor is there any expectation to do so... Except for Fortix, but that's a long running SG thing.
