This shouldn't be the reason for not playing the game, though. After the shortened first season this crap ends and it's pretty much the same career mode as always, and in terms of gameplay 2K16 is good. I wouldn't pick it now (unless extremely cheap) for another reason - 2K17 is about to come out and community will likely move on to the next thing, leaving 2K16 MP modes dead.

Huge ankle breaker juke followed by epic 360 slam. then freakin n vibin animation goes for 10 seconds while the other team runs the court, sets up on offense, you start running down the court after the animation ends and lets you control the player. On your way down, you get slapped with 'left assignment', 'terrible defense', and 'allowed score' or w/e that ones called so you lose a full team mate grade. Yeah, I'd say that is a reason to not play the game. Even when the stupid Spike Lee Joint ends, 'freq' still does his stupid animations on court.

Well, too bad for you. I never had this animation to prevent me get on D in time. Yes, it prevented me to act immediately many times and it's annoying af, but the player goes into this animation only couple times in one game max and I can't say that it's a gamebreaking "feature". As for the "movie", I personally appreciated the idea, it was something fresh, but not the execution, because it was really-really weak. As I said, gameplay-wise 2K16 is solid and one annoying feature didn't prevent me from having hundreds of hours of fun.

I heard the story mode is atrocious. The actual game play looked pretty fun though.

I can concur, it was horrible... I got it somewhat for free with being a ps+ member and to tell you the truth I wasn't the biggest fan of basketball to begin with.

I played it for a bit since it was free and to me it wasn't my cup of tea, I guess after suffering though the first season of that horrible spike lee story then it wasn't as bad.

mycareer is total garbage this year, but its worth to suffer for a few years because then you can play mypark with a decent player not a shitty 55 overall
and theres also myteam too which has like 5 game modes alone and its pretty fun
so 2k16 is really good game, could be better than others but if not the my career story

My career story is cringe worthy bad , online play is full of cheaters if it even works which is rare. The rest of the game is good tough aside from occasional clipping issues and stupid trade AI (especially high draft picks, team will make you big offers during the draft only to offer you the player they picked for a lower pick later sometimes).

Actually i don't like how the game is made, well spike lee should have smoked less( or maybe more) joints, but actually i don't like that durin the last quarted your player go insane, they gift free shots by doing random fault and every 5 secs there is a timeout, this happened to me in every match i played then i unistalled it.

I guess I'm the only one who liked the MyCareer story xD
I don't know, was nice to have something different, the cheesy story has it moments. But yes, it kind of took you out of role-mode.
After the first season is the same as always. I also liked the Day-Off stuff, training with the team or hanging out with other players.
