I currently have the flu and am sleeping a lot but there are times when I just cant sleep, im looking for some games to play, I am into shooters, rpgs, rogue likes and action/adventure games

Some of the games I have beat and enjoyed are

Wolfenstein the new order
Fallout new vegas
Witcher 3
Grim Dawn
Borderlands series, except the prequel
Kingdoms of amalur
Shadow of mordor
Dying light, although it could of been much better
Witcher 2
Saints row series
Deus ex human revolution
Torchlight 2
All the batman games except arkham knight, I didn't enjoy it.
South park
Mad max
both tomb raiders
Sleeping dogs
Bioshock infinite

I'll just say my 3 favorite games: Bully: Scholarship Edition, Valiant Hearts: The Great War, and the Penumbra trilogy. They're not modern, but they can surely occupy you. :P

You should definitely try Telltale's Game of Thrones, it shouldn't be too difficult to play while being sick. :)

A few years ago when I was too sick to do much (spent 3 weeks unable to keep down anything other than water, best weight loss program ever), I just played PSP in bed during the rare times I was awake. Makes more sense than games that would force you out of bed and to stay awake for longer periods. I don't suppose something like that is an option for you?

I see Bastion on that list, but not Transistor. You should rectify that as soon as possible.

EDIT: Was totally unaware Transistor is 80% off today.

It's not new, but try Disgaea if you haven't already. I hadn't played it until it came out on Steam last year, and now I'm pushing 600 hours in it and it's my #1 most played game on Steam by a huge margin.

I'm literally playing it right now as I type this.

The Long Dark (courtesy steam info link: http://store.steampowered.com/app/305620/ )
The game has 4 difficulty settings. If you play "pilgrim" it is more like being a traveler in an oil painting, taking in the scenery and you can listen to music in the background or the lovely game sounds and chill. When you get better you can bump up the diff to play for reals. I love this game, man.

Edit: The Story Mode has no release date but will probably be out this year and will be included at no extra cost. There are also several challenge modes like hunting a bear down (fun!) or being stalked by an angry bear (terrifying!)~

Ah! I did not see it on the list. Well, there was a new clothing system patch and I suspect moose are coming into the game with the next patch. But I totally understand wanting to wait for the story mode.

How about Stardew Valley? It's a fun little game that kept me entertained for long hours. (I'm looking at my Steam game hours and that one is up there for me).

Also, if you want to play a trippy sci-fi thriller that is both scary and captivating with a killer plot reveal, I recommend Soma.

I see you played just a couple of hours (at least on Steam). I can assure you the more you play, the better it gets in terms of content, playstyle possibilities and skill variety. Getting to endgame (level 70+) is simply mandatory to enjoy the game.

Call of Juarez Gunslinger is one of the FPS's with the most enjoyable gameplay. Original Call of Juarez is also pretty good but controls are more clunky.

Pony island, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Dragon Dogma: Dark Arisen, Brothers: a tale of two sons, Evil Within, Darkest Dungeon, Murdered: Souls Suspect, Dark souls 1.
Just a random list of stuff to look at 🙃
Also maybe Stanley Parable since you have it in your library

I played 5 and 6 and both were pretty bad, are the others better?
I like the dark souls series but what ruins it for me is it doesn't have a perm co op system you have to constantly resummons partners which is kind of annoying...

Comment has been collapsed.

Resident evil 4 and 7 are quite good, 4 is a combat wise like 5 and 6 but more grounded, 7 is a new breath in the series (Not all-new, just a breath of fresh air and getting more grounded in reality again).
Dark souls has it's tough points, but I'd say that the hardship of carrying on and pushing thru is worth it. I'm currently on my way to finish the third one. Co-op in 1 is quite a bad time since the connections can be a mess, 2 and 3 have it better, but you still gotta work for it :D
Tho when out of humanity, drop a sign and hope to get picked up.

If you like Roguelike you should really play FTL: Faster Than Light. Rouglike with starships, tactical battles in space and way too much replay value.
Another game I really can recommend is Hand of Fate. It's a card-game with action sequences and rpg game mechanics.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to compare our libraries, so I just read your list and some of your answers.
Some other games I can throw out there are:
Evoland ( 1+2 )
Knights of Pen & Paper 2( +1 only if you want to strain your eyes )
Rise of the Triad ( the remake that is )
Punch Club
The Talos Principle
Guild of Dungeoneering

Other than that I wish you a speedy recovery and hope that you find what you are looking for :)
