Hold on your party hats, not leaving the forum, but to my own newly (re)build! (which is nice for my germphobia thingie) 2 room rental flat.
I wanted to gift Return to Monkey Island (before i got the moving out news) and especially now that it's certain i have to be extra careful with my money (and i struggle with that being a gamer and lottery player) to save up for furniture and stuff, with some persistance i could get about 2000 euro. So have some other things instead.

The place will be done in the first quarter of 2023, so still have some time to save up luckily. Due many reasons blah blah yeah this would be my first actual move from the parents (now my mothers) nest and the first time really being on my own. And i hope this is just the first step of many to come, and hopefully a relationship with a kid of my own someday too still..

And yes i waited months to use this joke. :D

The rebuilding is not done till the first quarter of 2023, but yeah, i probably gonna get (much) lower speeds though. Because my mom pays 70-90 in a week, definitely not gonna afford that.

I live surrounded by cows and my connection is far from being the best.
It takes a long time to download but it's not that bad. Then as I'm more of a single player, it's not a big deal ;)

Attach some mesh systems to the cows? :p

I love myself some TF2 in the weekends (and lately even more days).

But there are also single player games that are well over 40-100gb, it's nice to know if you finally decide to play skyrim and wait 3 weeks on it. ;)

Well i don't know TF2 but i play time to time Rocket league and that's pretty fine :)
But yeah, for Skyrim download the game atleast 5/6 days before play xD

Team Fortress 2, it's a very old by now, cartoonish looking game. So it probably be fine. :p
Loved the idea behind Rocket League, wanted to buy it then a shame it went to epic. :x

We live in a very compact country, with compact streets (unless you live way up north) so even cheap internet will still hopefully be fast enough for most things.

Funny pic. :p

Why would you pay the stupid tax with a lottery ticket? You are smarter than that. Go buy a put on Coinbase if you really want a fair gamble

There always has to be 1 sucker to win and in my opinion i can't say why i cannot be that sucker some day (and yes i know the chances) but i am also spiritual and believe (and hope) in karma, plus something about a gut feeling.
And we had 1 very decent one with 90000 tickets per week (with 100.000 euro as a price each week and at random a jackpot of 1 million) which are fairly fair chances, although their ticket sales dropped a lot, so they decreased the main prize to 20.000 and the chances of that jackpot falling.

I don't know if investing in bitcoin/ethereum whatever is still worth it these days?

Last big, can't remember if it was the mega millions or Power Ball, was a little over 1.5 billion dollar jackpot. The winner only took home around 400 million dollars through.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah but if you play those, especially american ones or the Eurojackpot (120 million players) then offcourse you can win major prices but your chances will also become much much smaller, even i wouldn't even see a remote chance on being that sucker.
Offcourse even 1 million would be welcome. :D although anything more is just gravy.

2 of our major national ones have about 4 million players on average, which is still a small odd to win, but feel more "doable" still. 1 of them is tax free, the other 33% goes to taxes.

In Europe, lotto winners don't get taxed on the winnings, they simply win the winnings.
Winnings.

I suspect that, technically, you Americans here should be paying taxes on the games you win here, based on the store prices. Not sales tax... income tax.

Since this is considered gifting, you would have to win over 10000 dollars worth of games from before it would be taxable.

Grats, owning a place is good. Albeit bit worrying with new interest rates...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Never. :)

It's rental, social housing (currently on wellfare) so not much to worry about.
The massive increase of energy costs are more worrying, people on wellfare will be helped, but people even with 2 incomes that can barely survive most likely won't (our government loves to put things off and wait with the "happy" news they got in store for us.
At first they didn't even wanted to help until january, but they changed that.

Yeah and unfortunately everything goes worringly up in price (in the past things went up but also down) so that stability is becoming a lot harder to pertain for many people, much more then in the 80-90's alas.

Hepa filter adsorbs and sterilizes by exposing to germicidal rays.
Approx. 66,000 yen
Huh? I don't think this is it, I think there was something better.๐Ÿค”

Care222ยฎ https://jp.care222.com/
This one is said to cost around 300,000 yen.(๐Ÿ”ฆ๐Ÿฆ )
The question is whether it has been approved in each country.
It would be interesting to find out if it does not violate the laws of mankind.

Yeah i don't know yen to euro but it still sounds like a lot.

I know heaters/fans that also filter out bad stuff but those are expensive too (not just the thing itself but you also have to buy a new filter each x period).

Luckily my germphobia thing isn't that big that i need such drastic stuff. ;)

Thanks, yeah a heater/cooler with filter is cheaper.

Permalink

The former needs to be filtered once a year.
The latter is a ray of light and does not appear to have a filter.
In any case I agree it is a bit expensive.(*p'ฮ˜'q) yup..

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I never heard about that ray thing, so doubtful we even have that for sale here. But in Japan you got loads more crazy stuff we don't, like i would love a toilet with a washer (seems to be normal in japan) but not so common here.

An air heater or cooler also has a yearly filter thing, but cost 200 euro.

I have to try getting a furniture budget of atleast 2000 euro by january, and then being able to find a job or not or staying on wellfare eitherway other things will become so massively expensive, i am lucky enough keeping enough money to even have something to save up (for).
So while a "cheaper" filter thing might be nice to have (i do also believe in it's purifying air qualities to be benefitial to your health) it's just financially not in the books for the moment.

Well being human you will always have some on yourself anyway. :p But i am sure to always have some dettol in house.
Not like everything i touch is dirty, although with corona you put yourself in a bubble because everyone had to, and then you feel safe in that bubble and it's hard to get out of it again.
Actually the things i am afraid of always came and go in my life, and currently certain things are getting better again.

The only two i would be afraid of are babies and dirty diapers and school (having kids atleast that go to them), but that's a worry for later..
