for me Portal Series challenging game
Far Cry 3 epic story line,& gameplay , graphics & AC Series

I guess Max Payne (1) Halo combat evolved and Mafia

So much more games I really enjoyed but I think these are the ones that stand out

Doom 1 for overall , Quake 1 (QWTF mod) for multi-player and Max Payne 1 for storyline...I could not mention about Diablo II and hours i spend playing it online :)

YES!!!! I absolutely loved Sanitarium. It was one of my very first computer games (we were the last family to own a computer on our street). But I don't think it would count as my favorite.

Metal Gear Solid for psone. Story, Soundtrack, Graphics and Gameplay everything was/is the top and for me until today no game is so near perfection like this one.
Honorable Mencions: SMB, TLOZ:OFT, Bioshock, GTAVC.

I dont play Action Quake 2 myself my friends play it i dont play quake 2 much was way to slow for me.I played quake I and mod QWTF ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA3xBAe5nPs ) till quake 3 was released. Btw nice fragmovie mate happy to see old games are still played and people still make amazing fragmovies.

I guess The Witcher series, but I also love GTA series and Double Fine games, especially Brutal Legend and Psychonauts. Skyrim is also high in my ranking.
