REALLY. I HAD NO IDEA AT ALL BRO. They just usually happen to be completely un-interesting apps and seeing as there's finally something worth downloading I thought I'd share it.

Exactly, once in a while, so it's worth mentioning when they actually do :P because I check every day and it's usually something completely random and useless

Really appreciate you posting this. I check the Amazon app store daily when I get to work. This morning I was running late and had a meeting first thing so forgot about checking. Would've been really bummed if I went thru day after day of non-interesting stuff to miss this. Thanks again!

Thanks for the tip! I don't care much for the Amazon App Store in general (crazy drm, apps phone home, have to be logged in to Amazon, etc), but every once in a while when they have an app like this for free, it makes it worth it.
I haven't used the store in so long that it won't run, haha. It needs an update.

Also worth mentioning, they just opened their store to a bunch of new countries. So if it wasn't working for you in the past, chances are it is now.

Hell yeah, there's an instrumental to a song that I needed and Amazon's mp3 store was the only place I could find it and I needed that song for a drama performance yesterday, and thanks to the £1 mp3 credit I managed to get it, so it saved my performance, by pure coincidence :D

A little of both I believe.
Boosts the sales for the dev, plus it brings people to amazon for the free stuff. Win win.

Amazon doesn't give the developer anything, or at least didn't in 2011. See this blog post where a developer complains about the store and how they lost money from the free promotion, which gave away 100,000 copies, forcing them to deal with a huge amount of support messages and to upgrade their servers to support this number of players.

Suprisingly there is an Amazon Appstore on iOS because my friend has it and his phone isn't jailbroken or anything

Get it, it's cool, there's a free app every day, and for the past 3 days those have all been games, though not all worth mentioning as much as 10,000,000

Well the game is available on Steam, Amazon Appstore, Google Playstore and maybe on the Apple Appstore, Idk, BUT it isn't free anymore as it was the free app of the day 2 days ago

You missed it. The new free game is Fruit Ninja, which you can also get on the Play Store.

Nah it's a specific Amazon Appstore app, google it, I would give a link but it would be the UK version, and the app of the day will be on the homepage, it's the first you thing you see every time you open the app

If you do have that app on your android phone, or ios if it's on there too but I doubt it, today's free app is the game 10,000,000. Just thought I'd let you all know in case you're interested, since the game is actually on Steam as well but free on android today through amazon's appstore.
Edit: no longer the free app of the day, the game is on Steam too though
