Are any of the Flatout games good?

first is good, second & ultimate carnage is great, third sucks
that's IMO

Buy Flatout UC with a few friends for online duelling! (uses gfwl!)

Only played Flatout 2 but it was an utter blast.Highly recommended.

Don't buy both 2 and UC. It's the same thing! Well, maybe the graphics are slightly better in UC.

I've played FlatOut 1 a few years ago. I thought it was a fun decent driving game...haven't played the newer ones yet, though.

I played some of the old ones and they were really good, not sure about the newest ones tho.

i only have the first one and i enjoy it on my second old pc (low reqs).

I wrote an e-mail to team 6 regarding Flatout 3:
Dear team 6,
I hadn't played any of your games before until I tried flatout 3 chaos and destruction since I had loved the previous titles of the franchise.
After reading reviews and briefly playing the game myself I must say this is the worst and most disappointing game I have ever heard of and you should feel ashamed of defacing a great game like Flatout.
I am deeply angered because I cannot get a refund even though I think it is more than fair to get it, since I didn't need to play more than 3 minutes to notice how utterly bad this game is.
I hereby ask you to consider lowering the price, since this "game" will never be worth 29.99$ and also giving players a refund.
I also wanted to know how you managed to ruin the reputation of such a great game and also achieve to get a metascore as low as 23.
