I completed Trine 2 yesterday with friends, I don't even own trine 1. Didn't feel like I missed anything by not playing trine 1.

I can definitely suggest You playing Trine 1 first. The characters are the same what means you will know how did it start etc. Stories are different as Chenko said but it is somehow connected. Also, if You started playing Trine 2, I'm sure You wouldn't come back to Trine 1, trust me... I made the same "mistake" by starting playing Two Worlds II instead of Two Worlds I...

I don't always agree with his opinion and I mostly watch his videos for the gameplay to see, if I'd like to play the game. To me Rocketbirds seemed like a very average game just by watching the gameplay, so I did agree with his opinion except I wouldn't even like the jetpack part.

That being said, here's Rocketbirds for ninjas: LIDJC-+Z+G3-HB7R6
(Replace + with the letter that comes right after M.) Never going to play that game myself.

I figured Don't Starve would be in the BTA so I gambled and BTA early on... now I am disappointed as I own every BTA game. Suppose it doesn't matter though, it's for a good cause!
