i would wait for the AMD 3 series, apparently the R9 380/385 is going to be sold at 230$ and comes with 4GB and DirectX 12.1 support so sound great :D
Not fully aware of procesors but the 4790k is still a good processor.

Congratulations on the degree and the job! And thanks for the train!
edit: Wait, shouldn't you have about the same free time now? Work, including commute, is usually only 40-50 hrs/wk. School, including studying, should have been around 36-54 hrs/wk.

My daily total time (work + traveling) is about 11 hrs/day, my workplace being a bit far away from my house. That's 55 hrs/week. And then gotta rest and browse the internet so really only on weekends can I play games with my current schedule.

I recently completed my bachelors and got a great job. This means less time for games and more real life stuff. However, I will now be able to buy a better PC and perhaps squeeze in some quality game time during weekends.
The train of life is now moving at a relatively greater speed.
PS: Can I get some suggestions regarding a PC build? I wanna keep it within $800 and go with Intel/Nvidia CPU/GPU setup.
