I will be working on a ship until Sept. 26. Bummer - i wish they just had first month free! By the way, i think the sub price is way to expensive compared to other services. That being said, I am glad they gave a sub service because they have a lot of good games (that i own already)
Can we cancel (autocharge) directly or do I have to wait until Sept 29 and do it then?
According to Reddit you can cancel after 30 minutes and keep the free month, if you do it too soon you will lose it and can't renew.
anyone tried that already?
Lowkey considering this only for southpark fractured but whole and ode. I relly dont havr any ibterest in Ubisoft aaa games.
Oh maybe with remaiing tine i should look into rayman legends too
I don't think I will do this since I own most of their current new lineup (well besides games not relased) and so I see no benefit for this since I have no need for the older games that I do not own. I already own Odyssey, FC5, WD2, Wildlands, Seige, and a few other misc games I got free. But yeah the sub in my opinion is pretty pricey where you can go with different alternatives that are cheaper.
Like even EA's own origin access (the basic one, not the premier) is only like what 30-40 a year and you get a decent selection of games and I think even some of their new ones are now in the basic service, or if they are really new you get like 10 hour access (not sure if that is early access or just 10 hours after the game is released.
But a thing I am liking though about these subs (even game pass by microsoft) is tat least these are where you download the games to your system to run them instead of this streaming bs that is being thrown down our throat.

so isn't free after all... they want your payment information.....
made the law.. made the trap...
just at 29 september delete subscribtion
yeah and by miracle they are going to lost your payment metods and information.......
You are from the eu; You can demand that they are deleting all or parts of your information.
So, I tried this thing. AC Odyssey wants 104GB to install. Is this normal? Can anyone else duplicate this?
all games now is 70-80 gb. 100 gb is the future
activated it and downloaded AC Odyssey
90 GB 😱
But cool that it has the dlcs included
now lets see if I manage to play through everything until end of September
If you don't have a real life,sure.
Steam says I have 456hrs in this game... you are looking at 200-300hrs here.
Impressive, I thought it was more like Origins which I 100% in 74h
The biggest AC for me so far was Black Flag with 120 (but I haven’t played Syndicate nor finished Unity)
I have only played a few hours so far, but am still on the start island. And them there are DLCs too ;(
If I don’t finish it, I have the options to pay 15€ to get another moth to finish it. Still way cheaper then to buy the game and the dlcs
Just looked at howlongtobeat and it says 120h for completing everything plus maybe 50 for dlcs
That‘s definitely more then for origins
This is Ubi we are talking about ofc newer game will have more "fillers", "?s"..etc just to make it "the biggest yet"
I'm playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint closed beta right now and even with the fact it is limited to a few number of provinces the amount of shit to collect and ?s to discover is insane I don't think it can be done in the 4 days of the beta.
They took more pages from ACOD in that exploration menace into a "Breakpoint".
Only reason I have hundreds of hours in such lame-way-to-inflate-game-world with mindless fillers is that I really enjoy the gameplay itself of those games (stealth and combat to be specific) in ACO/ACOD/Wildlands and now Breakpoint (when I hopefully get it one day).
When I played Dragon Age Inquisition on Origin it also had this kind of "?"s and crazy amount of collectibles but I never liked the gameplay of Dragon Age series (play them for the rich stories) it was a real pain to collect everything in that game.
There were some annoying?s in origin, but the worst were the small island in black flag, you couldn’t get near with the ship so you had to swim get that one thing and then swim back to the ship.
Those times are probably a bit off due to people completing the base game before the DLC released then playing the episodic DLC as it released. Now you obviously can't do all of the DLC stuff alongside the main game but there are parts of it you ca, especially rom the first DLC which takes place on the base games map.
It took me 150h for everything 100% including the DLCs
I don’t know exactly how long it took me for the DLCs alone, but I guess max 30h
I‘ve played now 77h in that month and have it finished to 63%
If I take another month, I should be able to finish it with DLCs and only pay 15€ which is still cheaper then the DLCs alone.
Origins - 199h and Odyssey - 191h, those are my 100% times for Steam. Neither were particularly efficient and both included plenty of messing around so both could be done significantly quicker.
So ppl keep saying
How is it going so far? You have less than 48 hours (probably) to finish.
Thanks for asking ;)
I played for about 70h this month and got around 60% of the game.
So I think I will take another month, which should be enough to finish it including the DLCs.
Getting one month UPlay+ should be way cheaper then buying everything. Alone the DLC cost more.
At what part did you stop?
I tried it on uplay+ but when i reached sparta i felt that i was doing a job an not enjoying it so i gave up.
so finished chapter 6?
that's where I'm currently
but I have discovered nearly all of those islands and finished most stuff on all the places I went
Uplay challenges says i am on episode 8 and after that only episode 9 left. I have done a lot of side quests and even went to thyra to find someone... but i couldnt keep up with it anymore. The story ended up being way too weird.
did you play other AC-games?
Yeah i played 3 which i loved. I also have tried a bit of brotherhood a lot of years ago and i have to say its good enough.
If i remember correctly thats all i have played. I plan to play sometime soon unity that was free but i am afraid i wont like it as older AC games have way too easy combat. Its just press a button and counter and i am not a fan of such gameplay mechanics.
they changed that in Unity, there it's harder then on the games before
Nice! I'm glad you are enjoying it!
I couldn't get it to run on my PC. I went in knowing my graphics card was slightly weak, hoping it would work somehow, but it CTD'd every time before reaching the main menu.
yeah it takes something
glad I upgraded last year
So after some month where I hadn't much time, I bought a month two weeks ago.
After 150h (combined, so about 75h now) I'm finished with everything 100%, including all DLCs.
I'm at Level 99 (well technically 101) and there is literally nothing more to do.
I started a new game plus, but that's so easy, it feels like cheating. I just play the story missions, as I couldn't remember everything after not playing for a few month. You get so incredibly strong after Atlantis, that it's nearly a joke.
Very nice indeed. thank you for the recap!!
So far this has saved me a nice chunk of cash. Played a bit and uninstalled Far Cry 4 and 5. Neither was as fun as I had hoped. That Cleansing mission in Far Cry 5 is some bullshit.
On to Assassin's Creed series!
Yeah, I played Far Cry 5 for about an hour before I realized that it's even more crap than Far Cry 4 was. At least FC4 had an interesting bad guy; FC5 is just terrible in every way. I then looked at the available games and realized I already own most everything interesting. In short, this service doesn't have anything to offer me right now. At least I can finally play Zombii for the next few weeks, which kind of fits since it's not too far from Halloween.
Yeah, I felt the same about FC4. Pagan Min is interesting, but the game is too busy. Moving from A to B for a story mission and 3 side missions trigger. Then I don't really know what I should do first and before I decide, I am attacked by wild dogs. And then more wild dogs. I want to like these games, but they are not doing it for me.
Zombii is kinda linear, but it's fun. At least it does not bombard you with things to do; your objectives are very clear.
It seems fun so far, and tense, since there's a sort of permadeath thing going on. Been wanting to play it for years, just was never willing to part with the cash for it. I do love me some Halloween zombies, though :D
Thanks. I haven't subscribed yet as the only games I am interested in are the later Assassins Creeds and Farcry. Been planning to get FarCry 3 and I might do just that as everyone says it was the pinnacle of the series...kind of how AC: Brotherhood was. I wana play Warrior Within again as well.
Brotherhood is the one I just started. The controls are making me crazy, but I will push through. It's better than AC1 so that's good!
Far Cry 3 was pretty awesome, and so was Blood Dragon, which was FC3 set in a cheesy, neon, over-the-top 80's action movie world.
Same. The number of games I was interested in at the start was far bigger than the number of games I would now ever consider purchasing. Anything Prince of Persia or Rayman is a hard pass for me. AC Odyssey won't run on my computer, so that's nice to find out for free.
Yeah, I was looking forward to the Prince of Persia series, but hated all of them. The latest one was OK, but wall running is a pain in the ass. As you said, it is nice to find out for free.
The wall running was miserable and doomed it. Also, the controls were weird enough that I found them unfun at best.
Which Assassins Creed games did you try and what are your impressions of them?
For the free month, I only played 3 Deluxe, because I own a bunch of others (that I have never tried). It was good, but as with AC 1 and 2, I find the controls horrendous. I want to push on because I like the story arcs in these games though.
Thanks! I tried 2, Rogue, and Syndicate. 2's controls were horrendous. Rogue and Syndicate were a lot of fun (at fas as I played them, anyway).
Guys I have a question, does it show for those who sub to Uplay+ an end date for that trial ?
I know Origin Access subscription is a full month (30 days) from the day you subbed not from day 1 of calendar month
If I sub for the Uplay+ at Sep 30 will that be a free month till Oct 30 or it will be for just 1 day ?
Edit: and another question... anyone actually managed to get it to work ?
I subscribed for free now, and it says:
"You will be charged the full amount of the subscription price (14€99 per month) on expiration of the free trial on October 1, 2019, unless you cancel before September 30th – 11.59pm"
In email confirmation it says: " Cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing cycle."
Does that mean I can cancel now so I wouldn't forget later and still use Uplay+ until end of this month?
link - cancel subscription - scroll to the bottom and click on "YES, CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION"
Thanks a lot for the reminder... I haven't had much time this month to check the Uplay+ subscription but I might resubscribe again the future to be able to play some of its games that I'm interested in (it's good that they are complete, deluxe versions with all the DLCs).
I'm not sure what will happen on October, 1st... I foresee a lot of angry people who forgot to unsubscribe and were charged for an additional month...
EDIT: BTW, I subscribed using Paypal so I guess it would be safe enough to just cancel the Paypal subscription (I will cancel both just in case). I just read this comment and at least in my case by using Paypal I'm sure that I can "block" any payment they try to make.
It is crazy but I'm not interested in any Ubisoft's 100 games. Everything I wanted to play I have already played.
Does anyone knows the time it ends ?
read up, the answer is already posted in this thread.
It's great that they offer the gold/ultimate editions of the games included, but the price is too high to keep the sub around when you ran out the more recent stuff. I don't know how they wanna keep this up, uplay is not bad but the selection is too narrow.
this free promo let me finish Watch_Dogs and Watch_Dogs 2 DLCs for free (one of my top 5 franchises ever, would have costed me around 17 USD for both in Nuuvem). Considering the predatory prices of Ubisoft in Argentina (we have US prices), I was super happy with this promo, and now I don't have any other games I really want to play. Will look forward to purchasing AC: Syndicate Gold in Nuuvem, the next time it goes on sale.
Bump to remind everyone to unsubscribe their free month of uplay+ within 10 hours. Luk4sq has linked the cancellation link
im sad i missed this, i would have tried it out if i knew. im mad they didnt email me to let me know.
but for $15 for a month i might try at some point. i paid $30 for a year of origin basic, and already got 10 times my moneys worth out of that. im sure i could get my moneys worth within 30 days
i think you can open ticket to recive back your money.... well you can try
EDIT : and s***t, 15$ is too much
Hoped R6 Siege operators from Ultimate would stay, but they don't.
Ubisoft don't talk about this service anymore, i was for hoping for another free trial when it become available worldwide
probably a lower price? i hope someone of this services try like a spotify or netflix family account
