They have 7 days to do this by the rules. If they don't in 7 days - you can open a support ticket either to make reroll (if they haven't seen the key yet) or to get received feedback. Now just wait.

I see, maybe they'd get back to me within 7 days . Thanks

You'll have to wait 7 days until you can ask support for a re-roll. In this case you should provide proof of your attempt(s) to contact the winner (screenshots of email, invite/message on his Steam profile and/or a comment on a past giveaway of the winner).
I know it's tedious but these are the current rules.

Do you find that 2+ works? I have only tried 1 and 3 and found 3+ to be best for me but usually do 1+ for the games that are always given away to try to get the min 5 entries or w/e

You get each game away with each level.
I do nothing below level 5 anymore when it is a public GA.
Much more stress free as the low level ones and no chasing the winners that they please please please take the win.

Yeah, I'm still l3 so i like having my gibs at my level max but def have been thinking about making sgtools giveaways as a lot of entrants haven't made any gibs in years. L3 has been ok for now but I've been having doubts.

I do level gated invite only giveaways in various long running threads and until now I very rarely had to spoon feed a game to the winner. I'm no friend of public giveaways with thousands of entries personally and want to offer a fair chance of winning. My level requirement varies with 2+ as minimum.

This said I do some giveaways for Masafor's group and my whitelist too. The required five entries to get CV are of minor importance to me.

Sometimes they come online and go offline again, after a few days i just always write in their giveaway or profile not to forget, and usually then they redeem.

The best is to create Giveaways only for level 3+. It is much less problems :-)

I personally think that this idea has a reason. But it has a reason if you have already reached level 3+. You (I mean any giveaway creator) know that at level 3 people are more responsible - ok, but first get in here, what do you at level 0 or 1 know about this? I think maybe it would be a good idea to forbid when creating a giveaway to set a level higher than yours.

Even though I'm only level 2, I think I would agree with this. At least for public giveaways.

well...... maybe I'll resort to best ways in future and then get blacklisted as well, but for this time I decided to do a public, open to everyone giveaway :D

I would check their steam profile to see if they've activated the game or not. If they have and don't respond to communication, then wait until the seven days is up and create a support ticket to Request Received Feedback

In that case the eye-con should also be visible next to the key. I found that most users that take a long time don't check their win page, if they even visit SG at all and thus no eye-con next to the key.

i want to say thanks first off for the giveaway and welcome back to giveaways (if indeed you are doing more in the future) - best like others say to have at least 3+ level on giveaways because those people will have made a fair few giveaways and know how important marking received and taking your keys is

A very timely thread. I have one that's waiting almost 2 days yet they keep showing as online at all hours of the day. I've messaged them but strongly suspect a bot and will blacklist them. Unfortunately they're level 1 so I will only do level 2+ in future for public GAs.

There might be legit reasons for that.

My account here always shows 'online', because sg is set to always staying logged in on my pc and phone. But I only redeem games at home on my pc. A few months back I won a GA, but my pc was being repaired at the shop I bought it. It took three days before I got it back, so I only activated (and marked as received) the win on day 4 after the GA ended.

So had that been your GA, you would have placed me on your blacklist as a bot, even if that wouldn't be the case.
That is your prerogative, but might at times let to non-bots being targeted too.

True, I might blacklist someone that isn't a bot who had a legitimate reason if I don't check other factors, and I sometimes have only my phone to access SG myself. However, in this case their github page shows a repo for a bot for another site and their Steam page shows as online playing PUBG for many hours. They also never show as offline for more than 30 minutes, including during the night their time. As I said, and considering all this, I strongly suspect they're running a bot. I just hope they haven't died at the computer or something.

True, that is indicative of a bot.
I wasn't in any way trying to get you to change your stance. I had just wanted to provide an example for a legitimate reason. But since you obviously take a closer look at the case(s), it most likely won't net you non-bots on your BL.
Have a nice day :-)

My wording was a bit vague. My stance isn't simply to blacklist for taking too long and I'd always contact them first (as I have in this case). If they're running bots simply to win games without contributing very much themselves then it deprives someone who might actually want it.

Nice pic, BTW. I've often seen hedgehogs out foraging near where I live in late summer/autumn. Unfortunately, I once saw one out during the day but wasn't in a position to report it to the sanctuary a few miles away. I hope someone else did.
