I think when you register, the site should redirect you to the faq and just put the really important stuff in big letters.

I support this. We should make people read an announcement like that when they sign up here. Maybe they would also have to check a box to ensure they have understood it.

Right below that there should be an equally large message: "Don't Enter Obviously Fake Giveaways".

there should be a chunk of text explaining this when people sign up here and have a hidden password somewhere in it that allows you to proceed.
