How do i say "aid from the rich" as in "what we are missing here is assistance from the rich"

does this make sense?

Just a thought: Although it implies the same thing, not sure if the OP actually wants "what we are missing" as opposed to "what we need".

You would say: Ce que nous avons ici, c'est un manque d'assistance (you could say "d'aide") de la part des riches.
Note that it's an emphatic sentence. You could also phrase it otherwise if you'd like, and it would still be ok.

Ce dont nous manquons ici, c'est l'aide des riches. = A bit more correct, more "written" formulation.
