Oh nice, I'd love a new PoP, thanks for posting it here :)

Why so bitter? 8 games over the course of 24 years is a cash-cow now? The Sands of Time trilogy came out in 3 years. All three. They were great games, all of them. 2008 was refreshing, and Forgotten Sands while a bit lacking on the combat side, had amazeballs platforming. I wouldn't bury this one so easily.

I thought this thing's taking a loooong hiatus. Good to hear :>

The 2nd pic is very similar to final boss stage in PoP: The Two Thrones. Probably just a HD remake?

Climax studios posted a bunch of screenshots of a yet unannounced game that has the male lead very much looking alike our beloved Prince.
Said unannounced title seems to be removed from the site since it's been discovered, so here are the screenshots:

Been waiting for a new PoP game myself.
[Update #1] Ubisoft has shared the following statement with Game Informer, "There is no new information to share in regard to Prince of Persia." Whether that means there will be information to share soon (in conjunction with these screenshots or not) is anyone's guess. We certainly wouldn't mind revisiting the series, though.
[Update #2] The plot thickens. The images we have below have been removed from the Climax Studios website. There is now no mention of "Character Action Platformer - 2013.
[Update #3] Climax Studios has informed us that the screenshots come from a prototype developed last year during exploratory discussions with Ubisoft. According to Climax, the project never went any further.
Well, this makes me sad.
