Title pretty much says it all.

I know it's a highly wishlisted game (in the community wishlist top 50) and it's in my number 1 slot. So I don't want anyone to miss it.

Also it's the lowest historical price at $30 (still too much for me)

As people pointed out in the comments - this is only the first act NOT the full game. So take that into account when downloading this 100GB behemoth of a game.

Enjoy!

Edit: I picked the wrong game in the poll πŸ˜• Wish I could change it.

Are you going to try Shadow of Mordor in the free weekend?

YEP!
NOPE!
Maybe, if I stop playing Rainbow Six Siege Free Weekend!

What they did with the DLC and lootcrap.... naw

Maybe when they bundle all the DLC together and it's like $10 in 3 years?

As a heads up, they'll actually be removing loot boxes from the game come July 17th

It was one of the best games to use it. Don't tell me you fell for the lies and thought it was P2W?

It doesnt really matter, its a single player experience with lootboxes,i cant believe that a sp game is grindy,

because it could probably be finished in 20 hours or so. I hate WB games, they are terrible for open world. Mad Max and other Mordor was crap imo

So many misleadingly labeled threads of late.
At least this one was a pretty intuitive one to figure out. :P

Is my title misleading? I was just relying on what Steam's usually gives with free weekends - that is, the full game.
Only after downloading 100GB I realize it's a constrainted free weekend. Still, free to play for 3 days. So I don't think I mislead people.

"Free Weekend" is a Steam term used to specifically refer to temporary access to the games involved in the promotion.
"Free to Keep" is the Steam term used to specifically refer to short-term promotions where you can acquire a full copy of a game.
Meanwhile, on SG, "Free" without any other qualifiers specifically means "to keep".

Assuming no intentional trolling is going on, it's not the kind of thing that's of any real significance- but we SGers do seem to like our precision, so expect some nitpicking where it's invited. :)

Can't really blame them for the misunderstanding as looking at the store page this looks just like a regular free weekend game would.

You're replying to me, and I'm the OP of this thread and I don't remember editing the title. It was always "free for 3 days"
Your reply is confusing to me (but maybe I'm just tired):O

I did however add that it's restricted after I've launched the game and saw people comments.

I meant the description, yeah, sorry. :X
You're not the only one who is tired. :S

The edit wasn't meant to be directed toward you, anyway-
Sometimes it's just better to edit than to reply to something directly.

Ah, ok. To be honest, Denuvo doesn't bother me that much. But it's always nice when devs remove it after a while (should happen with every Denuvo game).

If you add games to your library during free weekends and goes back to sale does it conflict with anything on SG? Will GAs for it still show up if you have things hidden for games you own?

I believe there was an issue like this before with a game that had afree weekend and people added it to their library and SG looked at it as owned still even after it went back to sale.

This thread by Khalaq might answer any questions you might have. :)

I don't recall any issues with free weekends in the past, but I do remember that when the first episode of Life Is Strange was released for free, those who owned it weren't able to enter giveaways for the complete season (due to the way Steam handled the package ID).

That might be what it was thanks for the response and thread :)

Could it be you remember the issue with Life is Strange when they made episode 1 free (permanently) and it messed up things with people trying to enter the full season, as it showed up as owned? This wasn't a weekend issue I mean.
EDIT: faster fingers..

because sadly even in 2018 not all people have access to good internet speed ?

I bought it myself since I enjoyed the previous game, but I got it on my console since wasn't sure my rig could handle it, this was back when I only had a 2gb 7870 GPU, but I have since upgraded to a RX 570 8GB which I found a good deal for during the whole mining craze, so at least this will allow me to finally test the game and see how it runs and if it does maybe I may buy it? not sure... but if I do get it on pc then I will probably trade in my console version to get some cash back.

edit: I wasn't big on the whole microtransactions, but to me you didn't have to buy those lootboxes and crap, I never did and I think with the nemesis system the whole lootbox thing (especially for orcs, maybe the gear was another story) was stupid since you would have no feelings or emotions tied to those friendly orcs of yours.

I also think myself that if It runs and I do get it on pc, I may replay the game again once the whole lootbox thing is removed to see how it plays differently I guess, and hope the shadow war thing has been improved on... since that is the main thing I hated about this game was the constant seiges and stuff and that is why I haven't completed the game on my console yet.

Yay, so the "free weekend" is actually "we were lazy to make a demo, so download the entire game and play the first chapter instead".
WB Games. It is almost uncanny how Warner Brothers still cannot get how video game publishing works nowadays.

this 100GB behemoth of a game

Funny I recently read an article on the ecological footprint of digital stuff, among other things they criticized software-makers for not giving a s*** about the size of their stuff because disk space and bandwidth are perceived are infinite...
