Wondering what games you already own from this bundle? There's an extension/UserScript for that! It's called the RaChartβ„’ Enhancer!

This script enhances the charts by showing you which games you already own from the ones in it. If you own it, the row will be highlighted with a green color.

Have 12h on Walden the game, well, it is ok, I still need 6-7h to get all achievements but I might skip the walk 50miles achievement:-) It is enjoyable, I think the Groupbuy price worth alone for that game. It is not an action crazy game tho, it is educational and interesting instead.

i also need that Fire Place

lol it's basically a glorified screen saver and doesn't even really reproduce a realistic looking fire at that imo

:D

indiegala is really doing it "good", imo. that said...

just barely checked, can assure you, tho, i can "play" with those kinda games/screensavers for hours.
i'd also pay huge money for a real (with physics, power and all...) fireplace simulator (seriously!)

Back in the ancient times when I was a kid, one of the first "cool" computer programs I made was a fireplace simulator for DOS, basically... I think it was VGA mode 13h (320x200 resolution with 8-bit color). And of course I made blue flames instead of red (βŒβ– _β– )

Don't remember exactly the algorithm, something like taking random numbers for fire pixel intensity at the bottom of the screen and then averaging 3x3 squares upward for the flames to rise and fade. Was not "scientifically accurate flames" but just a fun effect.

Walden is a must. Having read the book, I am very curious about it!

What a peculiar comment from a very peculiar profile.
Had to check out the recommended game which I would have not cared to do otherwise. Put it on the wishlist.
Thank you, kind Sir!

Oh. It has a history that goes like this. I started reading Paul Auster a few years ago, and immediately fell in love with his writing. After a while I noticed that ever so often he mentioned a book named Walden by Henry David Thoreau. I naturally became curious what it was, and after some hunting I found the book deep in the catacombs of a library. It was very mediative and calm. So when I saw this game coming out I at once put it on my wishlist.

Thank you for sharing your story. Now you made me curious in reading Paul Auster as well.

I wonder tho: how come you posted here? You don't seem to be a person who's visiting (or at least interacting with) this website a whole lot. Is what I found so peculiar, if you were wondering :)

Oh I really can't recommend Paul Auster enough. I have read all his novels over the last years, and am about to start over and this time read them chronologically. Expect to have even greater joy from them then.
About hanging in this forum, you are both right and wrong. I am here daily, most of all to get the exellent service regarding all wonderful gaming deals. But I don't write often, you are right about that. Mainly because I don't think I have much to contribute with. But now and then I get a little tired of all the wining of how bad bundles there always are, and then I feel I have to be a counter to that and bring in a little positive vibes. Don' t happen often though.

Don't put it on your wl buy it in Groupbuy. For that money you can't go wrong leaving you with a few games to give away. Walden looks like a must play to me.

If it wasn't for the ~2500+ yet to play games on my account, I might even do that ;)

Seriously tho, if it ever goes 90% off on Steam and I can buy it with some wallet money gained from selling cards, it'll be mine. Or I'll try to acquire it via actions we don't mention here anymore without the risk of getting banned, y'know.
No spending real money for games that are not an absolut must. I'm a student and on a tight budget ;)

Very interested in Walden. I remember seeing this a while back when it was in development and only available on itch.io, I'm glad to see it come to Steam where it might have a larger audience.

For those unfamiliar, it is based on phlosopher Henry David Thoreau's book, Walden.

In a nutshell and in gaming terms, what he writes about are kind of the basis of what many survival/crafting genre games are about at their core... to live simply and self-sufficiently and to focus on self-improvement once your basic survival needs have been met. It also explores and examines the human need for and balance between solitude and society.
