What the hell's with steam prices, checked the SteamGameSales for prices of Dead Space 2 - 4,99$.
But in my country it's almost twice as much on the same sale 7,49€
I'm seriously pissed

Origin store prices should be slightly less pathetic, but pathetic nonetheless.

Here in Brazil is US$ 3.94, Blame your country taxes and it's people consumer power.
Since the Brazilian consume power is low enough and the customs tax legislation don't apply to digital goods, we got same or lower prices from US stores

Well you could call that, like I said is not only official taxes, if the consume power is higher so is the price.
I forgot to mention there is the publisher intention too, Steam isn't the sole responsible for prices.
Let's put taxes aside, if Brazil got the same prices as europe, it would be hard to sell anything, so Steam AND the Publisher chosed to release at lower price in the hope that a LOT more consumers would buy it.

As for Alice here is 12€ vs 50€ of Europe, that one is really crazy, but EA prices tend to lower here and the fact that our currency, the Real, recently depreciated at least 8%. That's why some Brazilian digital game stores had great increase of international customers, but I don't recommend buying pre-orders, the publishers only reveal if the game will have region lock at the last minute!

Don't drop those kind of threads on gaming forums and actually send them to Valve or Steam Support.

There are lots of people in your condition, just organize and send mails to Valve or something.

Sorry, but complaining about it here won't solve anything.I completely agree with you though.

There is a steam group with 75000 members that want an age verification for Steam so they can buy uncut games.
