That person would be able to enter other whitelist giveaways, though I believe it's customary for someone whitelisted through the 'I need 5' thread to just enter the giveaway specified. A group + whitelist or multi-group giveaway may or may not count toward a group's required giveaways, depending on a particular group's rules.
