Forum search -> malware -> 3 hits -> you're welcome

Too lazy? Here's the short answer: it's related to the ads on SG, not SG itself.

I've had this problem on several other sites (including this one). I usually choose to ignore it though.

Everything is OK here too. Only using AdBlock as extension. Check your extensions or scan for malware.

Nada on my side, everything is normal (but I'm using SR Ware which is practically... Chromium), everything is fine, adblock & else updated.

Just got the same thing, reloaded and it went away. Probably an ad from a site that's been reported as malware. I could install adblock but I'm not the kind of jerk that prevent website owners from making a living.

Some ad sites and image hosting sites tend to host malware. Since SG doesn't display inline images, it's probably an ad that did it.

I'm getting it on other sites as well. It's probably some ad that got pass with google adsense.

Probably because some (0,1%) of the ads are... strange. I mean I don't need scareware, "flash"-updates, neither I understand these japanese text about knifes. :D But there should be no malware, unless you click.

There is an ad site that has caused that with a lot of different sites lately. Like the cheezburger sites got it earlier

The Cheezburger network only has it if you try to go to failblog.org or failbook redirect, or such. It doesn't do it if you go directly through the network portal. So just try to rememeber if you do have failblog.org as your suggested site with typing fail into the URL.

If you have the add-on "Auto Refesher" or another add-on, it will auto-redirect your ads to malware ads. I found this out last night so I disabled it and everything is fixed.
