New Steam mobile app in beta now

Today we’re starting a limited beta of the updated Steam Mobile App. We’ve rebuilt the app on a new framework and modernized the design. (2015 called and wanted their app back.) You’ll still be able to browse the store, get Steam Guard codes, and confirm trades, but now the app comes with QR code sign in, smarter notifications, an improved Library, and multi account support.

One significant change is the chat system is not included because Valve released an app dedicated to that feature in 2019.

📝:For those who have a lot of contents in Library
It seems that people are encountering tragic consequences with endless readings when they use it.
It should be noted that this is only a beta.

👀It seems possible to push through the performance of a smartphone.
However, I don't even want to imagine the power consumption or the file size of the loaded thumbnails.

Love that they removed chat from the main app, why not have one app that does everything when you can pointlessly split off one feature into a separate app?

Well, in current "all-in-one" app they couldn't even provide permanent offline or invisible mode, so I prefer it as separate app instead of being forced online when I only need to check security code.

You can access steam guard even when you are offline.

I know that :) What I mean is, app likes to make me online without my interaction (probably after turning power on on tablet), instead of remembering that I chose to be offline.

True. If they make separate chat already, I'd really like SteamGuard part to be separate too - I only really need this one part, everything else is in desktop version.

Same, I only have the app for 2 things and wish I didn't need an app for that.
Steamguard and to accept a trade when it needs a confirmation again.
