Do you enjoy games like this?
Recently played Prey and it's very good. Not finished it due to the steam cloud being rubbish. Can't access my recent files on my gaming laptop and my PC isn't set up...
However it is exactly how you describe the other games. Linear yet there is so much to explore. Chose to stealth or not. Choice is yours!

sadly I can't personally suggest a game since I'm late to party and Purpur3141 already mentioned what I want to suggest
and I'd be very irresponsible if I suggest something I'm not even playing
tho, I'll just put Aragami
sadly there's no Tenchu for modern era

I've actually looked at that one recently. Thank you!

Great game, but OP mentioned they didn't like having multiple options and tactics in games, which Hitman is very dependent of.

Seems we have similar taste in games, so I'll name a few of my favorites, semi-regardless of their relevance to the thread, because why not. Maybe you'll find or be reminded of some great games you haven't played yet (from most recommended for you to less):

I've played around 4 of them, and I liked them. I have a couple more on the list that are in my near-term queue. Thanks for the suggestions!

I also love action third persons so maybe i can name one or two
Mad Max
If you like the Batman games, you will like this too. The combat is nearly the same, story is nice and the open world is not as empty as it looks in the beginning
Remember Me
It's from the Life is Strange Team so Story is here a bigger thing. But not as much as in Life is Strange. The combat is cool and it has a nice Sci-Fi Touch.
Hitman Absolution
It's not a typical Hitman, at least this is what all the others say about it. It's more like an Actiongame with Stealth-Elements and, maybe just because of this, i liked it.
Story is okayish and it's not open world but I had fun.
Alan Wake
Good Story, kind of Horror (but not like jumpscares or stuff like that) and some cool features. Ignore the second game.
Sleeping Dogs
Feels a bit like GTA but asian. Cool Soundtrack, cool open world, can't remember the Story tbh but it was not that bad. ;D
edit
well... after checking your steamprofil you pleayed most of them already :D

Thanks for the suggestions! I have a couple of them that I haven't tried yet, but they're in the short queue due to others suggesting them.
I started Remember Me a week ago and I should finish tonight or tomorrow. I'm enjoying it, despite its...quirks ;-)

Damn, most ones are already out.
A little indie platformer fits extremely well to this: Pid.
As far as I know it got some Metroidvania elements and there are whole sections dedicated to puzzles with stealth.
Only one level isn't really linear, there you get to choose in which order you do a task.
Also there's a hell lot hidden... very hidden. Getting everything is a 3.4% percent achievement.

I've taken a liking to the Batman Arkham games, and I'm enjoying Rise of the Tomb Raider. Some similarities that I've noticed about them:
on railslinear through portions of the gameThank you in advance for your suggestions.
I've, for the most part, stopped replying to individual posts. I'm still whitelisting people, though. Thanks again!
