Badge can be leveled up with gathering steam trading cards and crafting it's badge.
So the level of the character in game is separate from the level of badge.

Bull**** xD There are 2 badges for this event, one for playing the game, reaching different levels on your Salien as I mentioned and the other one is Intergalactic (which you level up by trading cards)

You don't level up the summer badge by trading cards. You need to actually upgrade the badge.
In order to upgrade the badge you need to craft it with all the cards, hence the trading, buying, playing the (infamous) minigame and/or checking your recommendation list.
Trading cards mean nothing... or maybe counts to your market statistics of number of trades. Definitively not the level of the badge.

The trading cards are to lvl up your summer badge, just that there are 2 badges, 1 that you level up with the cards (have 1 of all and click craft) and 1 that goes up by leveling up in the mini game.
You understand trading cards wrong, they don't mean by trade a card, but trading cards as in the cards you use to craft badges!

Yeah I meant the trading cards earned from the event, by reviewing your wishlist, buying them from the market or trading for them. However they do mean everything related to this badge, because you are crafting the badge by them and you need all 10 to do it. Now my point is different and I am talking about another badge which you level up by playing the minigame and that's how your Salien levels up and there is a specific table, which if you open you gonna see how much levels you need for each rank!

Maybe since the game ended they stopped running the update badge ranks script, or then it's just Steam as usual and will fix itself at a later point. At least you can show off your Salien on profile.

Exactly, that's what I thought as well.. But I still want the extra 25 exp so I will wait and if nothing happens I will open a ticket. Anyway I am already showing it off ^^

You are right, I didn't see how rank 4 looks though. By each rank there is added 1 more dot and steam icon on the rank picture. However my rank written in words is still 4 and the amount of exp is still for rank 4, but I have the picture of 5 only :)

Hi, guys! So I reached lvl 16 on the Steam Salien game, but my badge is still rank 4.. When it's supposed to be rank 5. Does anyone have the same problem?
