Uh, they explained in the text. It's not a real game. You have to download a pirated version of the game, and the key activates the Multiplayer portion of the game.

Even if the winner had a legit download of the game, it's not a Steam code, which means it doesn't belong on the site.

Um, pirated version? Whatever.

Why is it here at the first place? Why do people make those and so on.

They make them because they don't understand the rules, or they don't care, or they want to generate points. Some are just trolls, like the guy that has the Magic giveaway that only white people are allowed to enter. They'll be banned when the admin is awake.

And yes, pirated version. The key came in box, and you installed the software from the CD, and used the key that came in the box to activate the game. So in order to play that giveaway, in all likelihood, the "winner" would have download the game off a torrent site, as the key is not compatible with direct download versions of the game.

This is stupid...

Yeah but there are giveaways that people say it's fake because they wanna win... too!

Someone bitching about a game being fake:

Check the entries of the game and look for their name. If they are on it, give them a reminder.

If they are clever enough to enter right before it ends, take note of their honesty.
