If nothing else, Skyrim doesn't have that bizarre leveling/experience mechanic that Oblivion does.
Maybe the game is a little more casual than previous Elder Scroll games but that isn't a big issue for me.
I never finished the game. I'm bad with open world stuff like that.

Offtopic : How did Ambi managed to get suspended again:D ?

I believe it might have had something to do with an altered avatar picture and subsequent shit-posting - but I could be completely wrong on that as I never saw what happened - although they did get a steam community ban as well - so not really sure :P - we all wander into the mine field from time to time :)

Heh, nice collection of bans. xD I usually only get banned by sports pages on facebook. :P But, damn, how did he manage all this? xD

I don't think that this is something that can get you banned, except if he had a really bad attitude.

That's the main point of it - the base game has way too many things to be called best, greatest, or even generally good - the combat is primitive to put it simply. But the gameplay experience, the joy and exploration is a personal preference - people tend to overdefend things they like because they feel others not liking what they do invalidates them. I enjoyed FO3 tremendously but since NV I see it's glaring faults while wish some parts of it back. Skyrim can be a lot of fun to go around exploring, but I reached a tipping point about how many similar locations with similar enemies are back, while I was running low on the quests and I realized how same-ish most of the game is. If someone loves it then it's the best game, if someone finds it pointsless then the game is a pain in the ass to play. I'll definitely finish Skyrim once (and New Vegas as well) and play FO3 sometimes now with mods once day, I just hope I can find some solutions to make the games more enjoyable for me. Likely quest mods, because the openworld fuckaroundery is just overbearing when no real reward or progress is made. (Majority of stuff scales with me, and loot is basically just stats)

I've played for 96 hours without any of the DLC and before I get it on steam I pirated it so I'm pretty sure I've spent a lot of hours on the pirated version too. Overall I think it's great game also I'm sure that my playtime will increase when I get the DLCs. Mods for this game is a MUST, without it the game is meh.

A great game for it's time. Looking back on it now, with what there is now (getting close to 6 years later); sure, it pales. But the feeling it gave me back in 2011, when I first started the game, was something few games today have been able to give me. They really nailed the sense of freedom, exploration and wonder. You vs the world.

Looong time ago Morrowind was my first TES universe game. That was a really great RPG! Than I played Oblivion, not bad but not as good as Morrowind. Skyrim for me is a very good game. It was a pleasure to play it. Just one thing I didn't like there is giant spiders. I hate this things. Mods was very helpful, they can change almost anything in this game.

I tried the spiders to spiderman mod, but somehow that was even more terrifying.
Because if someone doesn't like spiders, then making them grotesque humaoids will surely help D: I mean, I'm not surprised. I found that mod charmingly bizarre but I don't have problem with spiders :D
