Because it's not VII as in 7, it's V II, as in V 2. It's dumb and confusing and I have no idea why they went and did that.

It is indeed V2 and not Roman 7, but I believe they were going for a pun there with how there are technically six non-spinoff games if you count the remakes separately from the originals, which is still bloody silly.

VII stands for Victory II, not 7 in Roman numerals.

Welp, got tier 2 because I was missing R3 and 4GO and turned out it was only the dexule pack for 4GO. I know I should have paid more attention, but the game itself as gone on sale for like, 4€, so why would they pull this crap even.

Some kind of random crap You never heard of and it turns out to be japanese games, which I doubt are quality of really good japanese games. Rather the meh tier. And for the price I paid for 1,5 months of Humble Monthly with better games? This must be a joke. For 5$, would buy. Maybe. For more, it's not even an option.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Don't call it random crap just because you aren't really aware of the series. ;)
It's pretty well known and also popular. But it's perfectly ok if you don't like it. Just keep in mind that you might offend fans of the games. ;)

Offend weebs? Offend Otaku? How dare they!!!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Aw come on, Otaku has nothing to do with this. ;D
I meant it in a friendly way cuz I honestly like Eyrie and his strong opinions. If only he would be a bit more diplomatic in expressing them.
Yea I know, diplomacy is not your strongest point either, is it? ;p :D <3
I just wanted to oppose his position and make clear that the Neptunia games are not random crap at all. ;)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

No, otaku aren't exempt.

It was a joke, however. If we are getting offended, I should be TOTALLY offended!
Don't need to defend something just because someone says is crap; people are free to their own (somewhat ignorant, in this case, given they haven't played any of the games) opinions. Leave them to their self-loathing XD

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Ah sorry, I didn't get the joke right away, but after letting it sink in, I have to agree. It's rather pointless to defend something which ignorant peeps wouldn't appreciate anyway. ;)

But now I wonder how it would be, if you were really offended.
Raging Maya could be quite an alluring sensation. XD

If it were at least slightly popular I would have heard of it. I didn't. That's why it's random.
I heard of many, many games. Never heard of this. Wonder why.

And I have a right to rate games. Looking by screenshots it's yet another copy game. If not even japanese games fanatics heard of it, so... where is the value of the game? Pretty doubt it has any value of games like Persona, Pokemon, I dunno... Final Fantasy etc.

So, yet another random jrpg. Therefore I don't like it.

Look at the store page of your top played game, Digimon Masters Online/. Blurry mess for screenshots, ~4000 "Mixed" reviews.
The first nep game has ~8000, "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews, and at least it is not painful to the eyes to look at most of the screenshots.

Another SJW, trying to be cool by investigating someone else's profile? I thought nobody does that anymore.

Also Skyrim is a bad game and it has positive reviews. You argument is invalid. And for Your information, "my top played game" was afked for 99% of time. Game was boring and I didn't want to stop to play. This is MMO game btw. If You don't know what this means, so... well... why are we even talking? MMO games always have more playtime than other, cause they are based on grinding. I played few days, then stopped doing anything. Then also nPtoect GameGuard malware started to ruin my PC. So You are literally trying to prove that I am idiot because I afked in a game that was boring me and You try to say how bad this game, even though that's the case. The game is terrible. I played it only because it was Digimon and wanted my DORUmon.

Then we got game that looks like copy game. I would never care less than for the Steam reviews. When I read them, they are so ridiculous and stupid, that people can hate the game because it was good and like because it was bad. Yes, that's the case. And You can't even rate the game. Also a review is only review. The rate is more than just "I reccomend or not". It's about how parts of the game works. Originality, if the game is interesting, what mechanics it has blah blah blah. Still Skyrim is one of the worst games ever created, yet people are fangaying it. So those "reviews" means nothing to me.

And I looked at screenshots and even vid. This was the prove I don't want the game.

You are cute, You know. So mad because someone didn't like game You are loving so much. Hilarious πŸ˜‚

EDIT: One more thing. I have my own brain. You only think that game is good if other people say it's good. I don't need others to know if the game I play is good or not. And when I enjoyed the game I won't pretend I didn't If the reviews was negative or vice versa.

Aren't you a bit overplaying the topic with this wall of text and "SJW", etc.? I wrote just 2-3 lines.
Yes, I liked this game, just finished it a couple weeks ago. It was fun, but I also recognize that I have not played as many JRPG-s as someone from Japan might have, so I can not really relate to your recurring statement of this being a copy game.

Comment has been collapsed.

For $1, you could buy, and try. That seems a a more logical approach.
Then, if you hate Nep1, you can move on, knowing that at least you have tried and disliked, rather than hated just upon face value.

But wasting few bucks for games I would never play is still wasting those bucks. I have like hundreds of AAA games, probably twice or thrice of indie games. Many of them were just in my library and never played. I have to finish Assassin's Creed series. And play Dark Souls 2 and 3. And someday I will also play No Man's Sky, when they fix things. Also Subnautica. And by then I will probably buy Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Monster Hunter World. And those are only few examples of plentiful of games I have and will have. So for me it's just wasting money.
