Just reviving this to say I think it definitely won't make target. I feel sorry for all the previous pre-orders that pre-ordered purely to try and help it get there without caring for the first two tiers. It's either that they've made the 3rd tier require too many sales to fill or people are thinking like me and therefore not committing anymore.

First of all its still 2 Months and a few weeks to goo. If we make 2-3 Precentage per week im okay with that !
Secondly right before launch everyone will buy. Many people dont pre-order that early as other people do.
Thirdly right before launch a few weeks before, the game will be announced on several webseites + fronpage on Steam.
It's the first Tales of Game on Steam. It was exclusive for Console ONLY. They wont let them go without any announcement to celebrate it.

I remain skeptical. Whilst I agree that we need to vote with our money for such a momentous occasion I'm determined only to pre-order if it's near the target (~95%) or past it. So I shall remain skeptical because the purchases are slowing down, not speeding up (again whether that's because purchases are almost coming to a halt or the tier is too large I don't know).

One Piece is on front page because its closer to the release and same developer / Publisher. Games who comes first, gets announced first. Always the same.
German Facebook Page from the tales of series is making announcements as well.

As I understand it Tales of Symphonia is coming either way, just not free for pre-orderers if that target isn't reached. So you shouldn't be too disappointed.
Whilst I believe in voting with my wallet I need some sort of reduction in cost or other financial incentive (such as a free 20 dollar game) to do so. So I'm not going to commit until the chance of either seems likely. 50 dollars is simply too much for me (given I'm in country with a terrible exchange rate) to pre-order a game purely because it's a console port. I did pre-order the new FFs (13, 13-2 and Type-0) though. I need a reason for it be cheaper now than on release. So as I said, I remain skeptical.

nah! Although it is indeed one of the most famous jRPG series, THE most famous is Final Fantasy, for sure. It's the top of mind when you think about JRPGs. :P

I wouldnt call Final Fantasy a JRPG game o.o it's more a RPG ... in my opinion. The only JRPG about Final Fantasy is the fact that it's made in japan. ?

Well, yes, that's pretty much the definition. :P Of course, like every other genre classification, it's fluid. For example, if someone decides to make an anime styled RPG game with turn battles, would it be considered a JRPG? Or, is Dark Souls a JRPG?

The idea that you could spend 1000 hours on a single game makes me terrified to play it! Its exceptionally rare that I make it past the 100 hour mark.

It's not that you need 1000 hours to complete it or something.
The story is about 50-60 Hours. Maybe a bit more for tales of Symphonia if you never played it.
But so much replayability. Completed that game multiple times to 100%.
for one 100% run you need aroun 150-200 Hours.

I wonder if it'll include some/all DLC at the start (see MG Revengence and Valkyria Chronciles on steam for included DLC with purchase) and/or compressed DLC (DLC items at a normal price that contain several pieces of console DLC); see Neptunia another IFI stuff.

Tales of Zestiria is the worst out of the series (That's what Japanese Fans say, because the game isnt out in europe)
But every game improves, like Final Fantasy.
