Congratulations! It feels great to finally be able to do something that feels more proactive than defensive. I get my second dose next week, have heard it's a fair bit rougher than the first but more than worth it.

Welcome to the new normal here in Vax-World and the regular bi-annual dose of injections.
On the plus side, when we're elders, the Flu/ will have basically been eradicated, and we will have a well tested/studied tech that should help us fight drug resistant viruses.

I had the virus last year so I may or may not still have immunity (as everything Covid, the research is incomplete and results are unclear lol)
The whole vaccine tango is just odd to me. We are vaccinated early on in our lives against all kinds of diseases. But now we're in the middle of a global pandemic so the vaccine is bad for you? Oh well.

Ya, I don't understand why people are so afraid of getting a vaccine that will help them and everyone else. It makes no sense.
Round one was minor for me. Second round is expected to hit harder. Hopefully not to bad. We can't schedule a 2nd shot yet but I look forward to it.

It was pretty mild last year but I don't want to try my luck so yeah I'm waiting and waiting but they've totally bundled the whole thing so I really have no idea when people who are not medical professionals, teachers or you know, over 70 will be eligible.
