Foil's are just a rare version of cards, if you craft all foil cards you get a different badge.

Foil cards drop randomly. You get them the same way you get the regular cards, by playing the game. Or in a booster pack. They sell for more because people like to waste their money on digital crap that means nothing. Also, you can craft a foil badge with them.

A booster pack is a pack of 3 cards which you can either unpack and get the cards or sell on the market. They don't drop very often.

It's so annoying that Steam doesn't have some sort of method of telling us about trading cards!
Like, a section where they could put any questions that get frequently asked and the answers to those questions, and maybe an obvious link to that!
If anyone finds something like that, let me know - I'm so confused too!

Im pretty new to this whole trading thingy and i got some Tomb Raider trading cards and i searched the market so see for how much i can sell it and there was the card i have (blue color) and a card that called 'foil' how do i get the foil cards and why they are sell for more?
btw im level 5 if that matters
