Beat first game normally, use silver to reduce malus for second game, and then beat it, too. The games occur in the same order every time, so know which ones you are able to beat with reduced time and use coins only for that round.
For me, the only ones I know I can beat with reduced time are watering, fighting and hoeing. So I will not use coins to reduce malus until I'm on one of those.

You can beat watering?? I think that is the only game that doesn't work for me (doesn't register half of my water) - I see the animation, but plant doesn't grow and I need to water it again.

You need to water them several times, the strategy is to water one and move to the next while the previous is on an animation, you repeat that for 16 plants and do it 4 times for each plant. After they show the red fruit, they are done and count towards the goal. It's faster if you water one and move to the next one, than water the same until its ready.

You shouldn't water the same plant consecutively, it won't register the second watering, instead, you should water 2 plants alternately (either right and left or up and down, whichever you feel is better for you)

As the others said, I alternate and water two at a time, four times per plant. Left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right. As fast as I can. Then move to the next pair. It still requires almost perfect timing but I can beat it every time...

Yeah, that is what I do and it worked like that ~2 months ago, but now it doesn't work for me :( (different PCs and networks)
So it's like that (4 times on one plant): left (animation of watering and grows) -> right (animation of watering and grows) -> left (animation of watering and nothing happens).
Left-right movement almost don't have delay (since it's just click on button) and visually watering is like sequence: water left plant > turn right > left plans grows > water right plant > turn left > right plant grows > ... And I assume my issue is that I turn too fast :/
If I wait for plant to grow and then turn, it's consumes a lot time and timer runs out on the half of plants.

Yeah, I think you click too fast. What I do is, I make the character do a little step before each watering click. Takes a bit getting used to the timing but since then I didn't have this issue anymore. So try to not turn on the spot but make him move just the tiniest bit each time.

you don't actually need to reduce malus for 4 games if you have -7 for the second one. with the last update, chopping, mining and picking are impossible, but the other 4 are possible to do with -7 malu. watering is very easy if you know how to do it (stay in the middle of two and go left and right for watering for 4 times and move down to the next two). hoeing is also easy but you need to have a map that has 60 one click tiles to make it easier, you can refresh the map until you get a good one (doesn't reduce your silver). sickling you need to be very pinpoint so you may end up with just a couple shy away from the goal. fighting is also usually doable but sometimes you get unlucky with spawns coming from the opposite side all the time

Rules:
Default time for each challenge is 60 seconds, every key won gives 10 malus (-10 seconds penalty), which can reduced:
Starting malus multiplier = 10 malus (seconds)
also it is possible to lower malus by paying 50 silver coins for per second.
Challenge types and Targets:
Chopping: You need to chope 8 trees in time to beat it.
Sickling: You need to cut 60 grass with your sickle to beat it.
Mining: Mine 14 rocks with your pickaxe to beat it.
Watering: Water 16 plans to win.
Fighting: Kill 9 archers to win.
Picking: Pick 40 saplings to win. ( watch out for the spiky ones that slow you down )
Hoeing: hoe 60 clods to win.
Prizes
Each time, you complete a challenge, you'll get random steam key (from indie to AAA)
If you fail to complete a challenge, you still have a chance to get store credit instead ($0,01-$0,04)
