Hey! New to trading and not really sure how it all works. I was hoping to trade my copy of Elite Dangerous because I didn't really like the game but it seems like I can't do that. I was wondering if it's possible for people to view my wish list and offer me games in return for wallet funds. For example, I want Terratech but I'm not in a hurry to buy it so would it be possible to find someone selling it lower than the list price? I know it was on sale for 9.99 at one point.

Thanks for any help! And if it is possible to trade this way I would love to talk to you.......

I don't think you can. People will ask for paypal, though. No idea how that works.

Eeee.... that sounds fishy. I would be worried about scamming.

isthereanydeal.com : to check if the game has been bundled
steamdb.info : to check the lowest Steam Store price

To answer your question, it depends on the traders. You create a thread on Steamtrades and point what you're willing to trade for what. You might get offers or not. Most common is a game for a game trade.

Edit: Just to add, if you have zero reputations, most likely no one will want to trade with you, since your account is way too fresh and empty (9 games).

Alright, thanks for the tips. I don't use steam a bunch because I mostly idolize and adore my favorite few games and occasionally branch out. (Rimworld, Witcher 3, etc) Thanks for the first two links, the second one is especially cool!

Almost no one takes wallet and definitely no one wants to take their time to look through others wishlists. The most efficient way is probably through CS GO keys on the market then trading them in for games if you really want to use funds.

Got you, do the keys usually resale quickly? I would rather not get stuck with one...

From my experience if you want that game, just wait until next sale and buy it yourself. Which is in about four days (Holiday Sale) whenisthenextsteamsale.com

From my experience value goes as follows: Paypal -> Unbundled games -> Steam wallet -> Humble Bundle bundles -> Fanatical bundles -> Other site bundles such as Indiegala, Groupees.
