On SteamDB, you can see the "value" of all games in your steam account by going to https://steamdb.info/calculator/, entering your steam ID, and clicking the "Get disappointed in your life" button. 😀
There's some other interesting stats like how many out of your total games you have played, your average price per game, average playtime per game, and average price per hour of playtime.

TotalSpend 2055.61 USD
OldSpend 317.93 USD
That's a little bit skewed, as I've bought two Steam Decks (and a Steam Link, but that was a clearance deal). Other than that, it's not outrageous considering my account's 15 years old, I've bought gifts for friends/family and for SG giveaways, etc. Still, I don't even want to know what my totals are for Humble, Fanatical, and other third-party sites.

Read a news article today which mentioned a function I haven't known so far. Maybe it is actually new or I am just not very informed. Anyway, they talked about the Steam account data for "External Funds Used". As far as I understand, this refers to every cent supplied externally and ignores all purchases made with money you got by selling cards and items.
Out of curiousity, I checked my value (right now I am not 100 % sure if "Old spend" is included in the total spend but I think so):
Total Spend: 1994.83 USD
Old Spend: 357.02 USD
Under the assumption that old spend is included, it would mean I spent around 2000 $ on Steam. A good third (675 €) are from the Steam Deck. Would still be around 1300 $ for games (or market). Considering I am 13 years on Steam, it means roughly 100 $ per year. Which is higher than I expected. However, checking my history - which also is new to me - this also includes Steamgifts I bought for SG. So, it is lower. To lazy to make the math. Would be nice if Steam would already separate it into years, so I could check how it changed over time. Technically, I could do it myself. But still to lazy.
If you are curious, you can check your "pure" Steam spendings without "internally circulated" money and without bundle additions, here:
https://help.steampowered.com/en/accountdata/AccountSpend
EDIT: Did the math and about 317.5 € are for gifting stuff. Would leave 913 $ spend in 13 years, resulting in 70 $ spend per year. Which is cheaper than streaming.
