Starbound (1000pcs) Humble Bundle X.

Seems like one could get a refund if your offer was sent x minutes after they were sold out on sb. But of course they only do this because they know hardly anybody will actually do that.

I refreshed right before it started and when the page loaded there were 735 left, rushed through checkout and proceeded to freak out when I got redirected back to the HiB page and the little ticket said 'processing paypal' for like a minute while in the background I could see the counter saying 140 copies left.. refreshed the hell out of my email and got my key so all ended well. at least it was worth staying up til 5am for.

I just bought the bundle way before 1000, was around 150, paid $ 10 and did not get the Starbound... I have already sent an email to them and hope they fix it.

I don't think they will "fix" that because that would open the floodgates for all the people who were a bit late, basically refunding everyone who didn't get it.

Like all those others who came to late ;)

Because if you had indeed bought it before the 1000 ran out, you would have gotten it.
But you were to late because of your broswer or internet connection or payment method and therefore haven't gotten one and thats not their fault and they aren't obligated to refund you.

Thats part of the risk...not getting it....like in any other gambles.

I bought the BTA and it said there was 700 keys left after my payment had went through yet I didn't get a key. Lame

The site was probably under some pretty big load. So it is possible that there were delays. Both in seeing updated purchase numbers, or actually processing purchases. Certain payment methods may have taken longer to fully authorize than others as well. These things can't always be controlled perfectly.

Saw it but wasn't too interested + wouldn't be able to enter credit card details in time. So I'm not really bothered. Nice way of raising the average, though.

Assuming the BTA remains around $7, it means that Starbound only cost the extra $3. It's a lot more than just a $5 rebate.

(And for Europeans, the bundle amounts to about 7.50€ instead of 14.99€ so even for Starbound alone it's still a huge rebate.)
