No, but you felt the need to voice your critique of this thread (in the very first comment, no less). As such, this prompted me to voice my own critique of your previous work.

Pretty cool. Always been a fan of the series so I look forward to it.

Didn't know the Templars were apparently active a few hundred years before Christianity. Also, how long memory does this Desmond guy have?
They are seriously running out of subtitles. Should have stayed with numbers, although then people would have seen how ridiculously bloated this franchise is by now. Probably almost as bloated as the "Tom Clancyverse" ones.

Desmond died in AC III. They're apparently running without a story since then.

I honestly thought based on the title of this thread, there'd be a giveaway for origins in here by someone who'd confused origins and Mario Odyssey. I was disappointed to find no such giveaway.
But yes, they could have at least come up with a subtitle that wasn't used only last year by one of the biggest franchises in gaming.

I'd say Assassins Creed I through Revelations were good. Black Flag was decent, even. Everything else is just plain 💩.

Completely agree.
I mean, the original had a lot of tedious moments, Revelations reminded me of how they liked Ezio a li'l too much, and Black Flag hurt me to play because every present-time moment reminded me of how the story is 100% Ubisoft screwed, but I used to have a soft spot for AC. The gameplay was usually fun, the environments pretty neat.
Just let it die peacefully.

To me, Ezio will always be the real hero of the franchise.
To be honest, I feel like Ubisoft has pretty much destroyed themselves with the shitty games and high af prices. I mean Witcher 3 with all the dlcs is like one-eighth the price of Origins without the dlcs. And Watch_Dogs? The Division? I don't even know anymore. I feel like they've turned into EA.

Requiescat in pace, Ubisoft.
-- Ezio. Probably saw the future or used, I dunno, alien woman goddess magic.
It is sad how they churn out games and insist on selling them at AAA prices just because they made it, regardless of quality. The only saving grace is that they always have a good art team. And even that ends up wasted. They're like the Michael Bay of games.
Man, Ubisoft makes me cry ;-;

Fuck yes, loving this surge of ancient world interest! As if Imperator didn’t have me psyched enough.

I guess Ubisoft thinks the best way to advertise a game is to "leak" it. No wonder every single one of their Assassins Creed game's information has been leaked before the release. Here's a few --

It could also just be that with a team of hundreds of people, it's nearly impossible for them to keep all of them quiet? Like maybe the guy who fetches coffee for the big bosses tries to pick up chicks at the bar by talking up the 'very secret' project he'd working on. A few drinks later and he's giving her the full plot.

O yes, this is a really nice series to play so a new installement is always welcome and I like the setting of ancient Greece! ^^

AC: Origins is probably the only game in the franchise that I would be willing to recommend (from what I've played so far, still a long way until I finish it), so a proper sequel to it would be pretty good. But so soon after releasing the last expansion for AC: Origins? Eh, we shall see, I suppose.

I enjoyed the original AC + the ezio trilogy back in the day, but now I couldn't possibly recommend a "spam B to counter-attack and win" type of game when you could be playing games with much better gameplay. Can't speak for Black Flag as I actually haven't tried that one, so don't know if the ship combat makes the rest of the game bearable.
But Origins brings actual combat, usual RPG leveling, over a hundred side-quests that aren't just "eavesdrop on this guy - and then do it 17 more times because we couldn't be bothered making more than 3 side-quests", a bunch of loot (outfits/mounts/weapons), an official modding tool and much more. Basically, a lot of stuff that you wouldn't expect to see in a Ubisoft game.

I used to enjoy the games back in the day. The first one is very boring and repetitive but was pretty fun when it came out. The Ezio trilogy (second game through Revelations) are my absolute favorite. I did not really like the third one and Black Flags was fun although I didn't enjoy it as much due to all the sailing. After Black Flags I've never played another :P

A few mobile games are among the listed ones and the three chronicles are more like 2,5D Jump and Run Games.
If you take those out you are down to 10 Games including Liberation which was a mobile game first and got ported.
Still quite the number but not that high ;)

Meh, probably won't play it, since it will most likely be the same as Origins. That game was so tedious and boring I almost didn't finish it, until I found a rapid fire unlimited arrow cheat for the bow, that turned it into a rifle. Then it was fun enough to finish it and never touch it again.

I'm not getting it unless you can throw a hat onto innocent Greeks and use them to assassinate other people.

I guess I'm the (only) one who thinks AC III is the best game in the series. Also loved AC II, Origins and Black Flag. Brotherhood and Revelations are just more of AC II, so they were boring for me.
