A bundle of love. We can act to deal with the consequences of the earthquake and tsunami… We cannot wish that the seas dry up, that the waves grow still, that the tectonic plates cease to exist... It leaves us with compassion as the work we will never finish. ―Rebecca Solnit

Hurricanes in the Caribbean and in Texas. Wildfires in California. Earthquakes in Mexico. In the wake of multiple large-scale natural disasters and the increasing effects of climate change, we humbly recognize our responsibility to the global community. Alongside developers and creators, we are bundling a care package of much-needed funds for emergency relief.

This special one-week bundle features over $385 in amazing games for just $30. 100% of your payments will be split equally between Direct Relief, the American Red Cross, GlobalGiving, Save the Children, and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Humble Bundle will proudly match the first $300,000 raised.

Chart created with Lex's SG Chart Maker

Retail:

  • $385.72

CV:

  • 129.52 (with Machinarium base game giveaways) / 133.01 (with Machinarium Soundtraack giveaways)

Machinarium CE cannot be added to the available games to be given away. In order to maximize your CV, you could theoretically make a giveaway of the Machinarium Soundtrack (instead of the base game) for the key received in this bundle (since it activates both), but that would mean restricting the giveaway to people that already own the base game. For more info, check this section of comments.

Charities supported:

  • American Red Cross
  • Doctors Without Borders
  • GlobalGiving
  • Direct Relief
  • Save the Children

Wondering what games you already own from this bundle? There's an extension/UserScript for that! It's called the RaChart™ Enhancer!

This script enhances the charts by showing you which games you already own from the ones in it. If you own it, the row will be highlighted with a green color.

I care, I buy.
This costs $30, I'd like to keep mine.
I don't care, I don't buy.
Already got those, perhaps for more than $30 though...
"27 items"? I won't even play that many games in my life.

30$ and no way to point it to developers...

Because it's for charity, which no doubt the developers signed on specifically to assist with.

At first glance this seems more like an actual charity bundle than a G2A-Freedom profiteering one.

Darkest Dungeon, Stardew Valley, Starbound, Duck Game... o.o

This one's definitely worth the money, but I already have the ones that interest me.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yup, but I just splurged on Darkest Dungeon this weekend and own the rest (mostly from other other bundles), so would be $30 for a game about... caterpillars?

Could be a great bundle, but only for someone who rarely buys bundles. The charity aspect is nice though.

Yeah, somewhat steep price for a regular bundle but they got me with this :)

Edit: Too bad I'll get annoyed when they start putting these games in monthlies though :P

That is actually not true...

Humble Bundle will contribute the amount you select - less PayPal Giving Fund's administrative fee and, pro rata, applicable sales taxes, VAT, and payment processor fees (which typically average 6 to 7% across all transactions) - to the PayPal Giving Fund, with the direction that PayPal Giving Fund pay the funds to the charitable organizations as indicated by you. PayPal Giving Fund retains ultimate discretion and control over the use of the donations it receives from Humble Bundle. You will not be entitled to a tax deduction for contributions made by Humble Bundle to PayPal Giving Fund.

Just a clarification, not criticizing :)

This bundle is for charity, not for games.

yup, this is why people go donate directly to the charity and not through humble bundle

Permalink

+1. And when I donate I can pick the charities I want, that's a nice perk. 👀
With those big bundles, it's always the same few chosen ones. Winner takes it all :/ "Donation industry" much? 🐷

Looks like it's 15 USD deal, but IGN wants it's own 15 USD as well, so, here we are 30 USD for games which already were bundled and most of them in Tier 1 of regular bundle

100% goes to charity.

But sure, IGN.

100% goes to IGN tax-deduction fund 🙃

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I was wondering what's the deal with this Bundle but now that you mention it I'm pretty sure that's accurate. While seperate purchases are non-deductable for buyers I bet the total sum is for IGN.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well yeah, the reason why they're not deductible for buyers is because they already are for the company ;)

Many, many companies pretend to be "generous", but really it's just reallocating tax money from State to charities in order to earn good (and cheap) PR. The rest of the taxpayers will have to foot the bill eventually though...

It's kind of Ingenious :D

And yet when somebody dares to criticize those bundles the Gutmenschen crawl out from under their rock to rip them a new one because it's for charity.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yup, most people don't see the big picture (and many won't even see it when you try to show it to them), and those companies are banking on it. Big time.

If you are planning on getting Minecraft, then the season pass is a must. The base ends on a major cliffhanger that only resolves in the dlc.

Well the main story proper ends by chapter 4, where the entire 5th is a lead up the dlc. You could just stop playing when you finish the main story, but the game is just too fun to stop :p.

Sorry... move or die also says limited availability

Darkest dungeon is overrated - plays like a browsergame with beautiful art and thats it
repeating grindy and a bunch of unnecessary clicks - i was bored after not even 3 hours

The games are really good, but i own nearly everything from it except starbound which i want to have for example, but 30$? i would buy it if i had nothing from it.

If you are considering buying this, even a little bit, you probably want to get it now while Darkest Dungeon and Move or Die are still apart of the bundle. They are marked with limited availability. I wouldn't be surprised if Darkest Dungeon only has 1k copies.

Naw, more than 1k because I bought it when it was close to 2k bundles sold and got a key for both DD and MoD

Wow, what a joke. I don't care about charity. If I want to support charity I will just do it. I treat humble bundle as a shop selling game bundles. Sure, if I wanted to support one of the charities that are listed on their sites, I could do so and get some games in exchange, but overall it's just uninteresting.

It wouldn't be bad if I didn't own the games I'm interested in. The limited availbiabilty, and the fact that most these games have been in bundles makes me think they are just trying to get rid of extra key.
