Looking to buy a new headset anywhere from $50-100 range. Any suggestions?

HyperX cloud or Cloud II if you can find a good deal. That's for headsets, you can try to buy a good micro and good headphones and probably will be cheaper, but a good microphone can be expensive and the cheap ones can be very bad.

Sennheiser makes a great product, but those are more like $300. Prices for electronics tend to reflect their quality, so just look for a good deal that's within your budget.

I'm using Gamdias Hephaestus atm.
The mic's good.
The sound is quite decent for gaming, but not really suitable for listening to music or watch movies IMO.
It got this vibration that you can turn on, and it's really awesome during intense gaming.

Here's a Youtube review for the headset.

Read a few reviews on that of them catching fire and burning plastic. A little iffy on putting that on my head.

I've been using for a few months now. So far no burning ears for me.

Just thought I'd throw that out there for you if you ever smell plastic. It's probably a faulty thing with the rumble feature. Idk.

I would rather go with a good headphone like this or this (if you prefer closed cans) than any gimmicky "gaming" headset.

Then you can add this great mic to turn them into a headset.

It cost a lil bit more than what you asked tho.

That standalone could be a good future option.

HyperX or Sennheiser brand give really great price per performance headset.

I prefer Sennheiser over HyperX for professional looking (I dislike hard core gaming design on HyperX).

The GSP 300 from Sennheiser is pretty good for 100 bucks

It's a bit more than you asked for ($125 USD), but it can connect to almost everything.
