Thanks for the answer, but why should I buy these games? I would prefer an explanation. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, why should I buy them though? xD Also, yes, I can play them. My pc isn't new, but it can still play AAA games.
Comment has been collapsed.
Agree with these two games.
You should get DE: Mankind Divided because it's all the rage right now and although I haven't got the chance to play it yet, it's probably a pretty great game. DE: Human Revolution was really good too, if you are familiar with the DE series, then you probably know very well why you should buy the game ;)
Dishonored 2 because again, the first Dishonored is an awesome action stealth game with a slight touch of mystery and Dishionored 2 is bound to really be something. Go on, check the screenies and description on the store page, you'll see for yourself ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, I have played Human Revolution already. Dishonored too. You're not really persuading me, but ok, I'll check their trailers again. xD
Comment has been collapsed.
I asked you why I should buy them in order to understand your logic behind suggesting me these 2 games.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not really or else it would be in my wishlist. xD Sorry, but I wouldn't enjoy this game. :/
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok, then I suggest you should buy Bully, because it's damn awesome. ;P
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, in my case it was because of the job I have that takes out 15 days of the month out of my gaming schedule :v So now I buy less games (but more expensive, usually) since I'd rather play good quality games over mediocre/bad ones :v Think I've gotten like 5-7 games in the past 2-3 months.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ahh okay, yeah I hear you. I think I'm in the same boat. I have the time to play a lot of games though, I just don't want to really. I still find though that I buy games "just for the future" that I tell myself I'm definitely going to play, but that I come to like years later thinking "Yeah, I definitely never played it".
Comment has been collapsed.
I used to do that as well, but it kinda annoyed me when I got a "super deal" for like, let's say 7$, and then it ends up being in the 1$ tier on humble and I still haven't touched the game. Soooo yeah, I've made it a rule that if I won't launch it in the next week in worst case scenario, it can wait until it's cheaper :p
Comment has been collapsed.
I really need to start doing the same. Because it is the exact thought process, oh a great deal, I'll just buy it and store it over here in the pile with the rest of the "great deals" I found in the past years.
Comment has been collapsed.
I think dishonored is going to give you interesting story and quality gameplay and CiV is going to give you lots lots of hours . If you enjoy 4X of course. One for a 'soul' and one for 'utility' :D
Comment has been collapsed.
. Also, if a game is still in the pre-order phase, do you think it will get a discount in the Halloween sale or there's no chance to see that happening?
I don't think that has ever happened, at least not for a big release.
I'm going to say no to all pre-orders, for the simple reason that we don't know how the games will turn out. Doubly so for any games by Ubisoft, because they have a terrible track record when it comes to releasing functioning games, and they've repeatedly dropped support for buggy titles before the major issues have been ironed out (they officially dropped support for Heroes of Might and Magic VII yesterday, and there are still bugs in there that wipes your save data).
So that leaves Far Cry Primal, Sherlock Holmes, King's Quest, Deus Ex, Batman, Hitman & Virginia. Sadly, I've not played any of these, so I can't comment on them.
If you really want to pre-order, Civilization VI has had pre-release copies sent out to different media outlets and the first reports sound promising. TB quite liked the game
Comment has been collapsed.
I still remember when I played games like Watch_Dogs, Dead Rising 3, Batman: Arkham Knight, etc. in their first day of their release - so many damn bugs. xD But that doesn't change the fact that bugs will get fixed and I will eventually like the game. ;) Thanks for the help. :/
Comment has been collapsed.
I can still not play Arkham Knight :( The darn batmobile tanks my framerate so bad that it's unplayable. And Assassin's Creed unity is a comedy game due to all the funny bugs, not a serious action game (yes I played it after the last patch). I did laugh when the final boss of Unity did not even animate, but just vibrated around the room like some toy that's supposed to move around on a table through vibration, but that clearly was not intentional humor. (Unity has plenty of bugs that are more serious than that, that forces re-loads) We can't trust that companies actually fix bugs, so that's why I think you should only get a game once it's proven to be relatively bug free.
Comment has been collapsed.
I have finished Knight and Unity. :P I think Unity still has a bug which makes a boss fight impossible (I think that was in Unity).
Comment has been collapsed.
I'd say Deus Ex but I would wait for a complete edition
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmmm, the complete edition will have more story missions? Because I'm only interested in story missions. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't know yet. But Deus Ex: Human Revolution got a couple dlcs that added part of the story (The Missing Link dlc was sort of a standalone mission, then they made the director's cut which included the dlc in the main story).
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, I only care about story missions, so I could buy only a dlc, if it's the only one to have a story, instead of a season pass (if it has any).
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, if you don't have money problems, go for it! :D
Comment has been collapsed.
The first one was so brutal and awesome. 3:D Hmm, I'll consider it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yep, that's quite sad. ;_; If I wanted random answers, I would just put the games in random.org. xD
Comment has been collapsed.
Shadow Warrior 2 of course
Siberia is a great series, with an immense and detailed world but the dialogue has been pretty cringe so far.
Comment has been collapsed.
I liked the dialogues. o.O And why Shadow Warrior 2?
Comment has been collapsed.
It seems like they kept the core gameplay and switched from Doom like to Diablo like game. With randomly generated levels, loot, bigger variety of enemies.
It solely depends on your taste. But i do like the idea of having a first person action RPG
Comment has been collapsed.
Doom like to Diablo like game
randomly generated levels
Ok, I think I won't buy it then. xD I care about the storyline. :(
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm sure you have a similar storyline...not like the first one was all that complex
I also dont know if the levels themselves change, but the enemy types and spawn locations do seem to change a lot
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks for the answer. Still, I'm really sure why should I choose them. I appreciate long games, but I mostly care about the storyline. You think they'll have a better story compared to the others?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, The storyline I liked most of your list of games is for the "deux ex" games (I love ciberpunk related stories and games so i'm a little biased)
Cannot tell for the shadow warrior 2 and dishonored 2. Bur shadow warrior 1 is very good for its gameplay and other issues but I do not put a very good storyline into them.
Dishonored had a good storyline That in my opinion blend well with the gameplay and its enjoyable so far (i still have not finished it 100% around 50-70%). Also had a very good ambient and game world.
From your list, if you only consider stroyline and not mechanics/etc. I thiun best options will be sherlock holmes and king quest games. Other games of these franchises had very good storylines. But both are adventure games and no action games that I like most.
(I have finished a lot of adventure games in the 90s, early 2000s and lucasart has put the level too high for new adventure games for me)
Take into account I'm based all opinions in previous/other games of the same franchises, Not played/own any of the list yet.
P.S: Civilization games do not have storyline in my opinion. You make your own "storyline" levelling your civilization form the stone age up to the space age or world dominaion (whichever you get before)
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks for the answer, but why should I choose them?
Comment has been collapsed.
Dishonored 2 is something I'm really looking forward, but I wouldn't be me if I would recommend preordering. But 2-3 days after release? Absolutely, if you still don't see anything horrible you don't like amongst the reviews.
Virginia if you want a solid, but not super-interactive story or FarCry Primal if you want the world of the game. (cheeky one, pick the one you're more leaning to :P If you can't, pick Virginia :3 )
Comment has been collapsed.
Do you think that it'll get a discount during the Halloween sale, even though it's still in the pre-order phase, or not? :/ I mostly care about the storyline, rather than just "the world" of a game. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
So, pre-order games never get discounts during sales, right?
Comment has been collapsed.
I think Sid Meier's Civilization VI seems good and promising.
I love strategy games and it's winner of 15 E3 awards (Best PC Game and Best Strategy)
Worth a shoot..
Beside, there's a reason why Civ V in the "most played" list : http://store.steampowered.com/stats/
I hope Civ 6 will follow Civ 5 success..
Comment has been collapsed.
I think the 6th game of the series will be better, because it has some nice new options. I would still prefer to see many new changes rather than small ones.
Comment has been collapsed.
Far Cry Primal. The others that are on level are in pre-order, so it's better to buy what you can play now. Didn't had the chance yet to play FCP but played all the others and there are for sure a lot of hours of fun waiting for you in another epic jungle^^
Comment has been collapsed.
I'd also go for Far Cry Primal, but that's because it is my personal preference. I like Exploring, Action and Crafting.
Comment has been collapsed.
But I told you that I don't care about their release date. xD
Comment has been collapsed.
Still are you only looking to play a game in 2017 not now?? I would forget South Park The Fractured But Whole since is missing a lot of months yet. But waiting a little i would go for sure to Sid Meier's Civilization VI or Dishonored 2. The games before them were great but the styles are so different that in the end it really is a matter of what kind of game you like more.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm just saying that I don't care. I will get Mafia III soon, so I'm just trying to find out when I'll buy the rest of my wishlisted games - now or in the distant future? To be honest, there are other games that look a bit like Civilization - still, I like the Civilization and Dishonored games.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, I have played CIV5, but I would buy CIV6 only if I'm sure it has many different things than CIV5 (or else, it would be the exact same game). I love Batman, but hmmm, I'm used to fight in Batman games, not talk. :P I'm not sure.
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks for the answer, but why should I choose it? :P
Comment has been collapsed.
good question, best game out of those in my opinion but only see you currently only have 15hours in CivV the game does need a lotta time to play through a game which is negative but think the game uses the most tactics out of those so might be the most mentally challenging. Really hard to know though as most of these games haven't even come out so pretty hard to judge what will they be. Maybe Virginia would be a good option as a lot cheaper than the others & is a more unique title + is already out so have a better idea what the game is like.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't trust my playtime. I have played a lot of hours in many strategy games, CIV V too. Since I bought an AAA game already, a cheaper game wouldn't be bad. xD Have you played Virginia?
Comment has been collapsed.
Hitman is pretty great.
Looks amazing, plays amazing. If you enjoyed Blood Money, this is almost as good.
South Park seems like a good bet. The previous one was hilarious and one of the best games of the year, and this one seems to expand on the concept, which is awesome.
Mankind Divided and Dishonored 2 might also be good choices.
Just stay far away from Primal and Watch_Dogs2. Primal was a mess and WD2 is building up to be a cringe fest alongside being a mess just like the first one.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, Blood Money was awesome. :O I'm not a fan of South Park tv series, but I loved the first game and the second one looks even more promising. :O Yeah, the first Watch_Dogs was full of bugs, but I've finished it. xD Still, I asked for 2 choices, not 4. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Shadow Warrior 2 because balls to the wall; co-op!
Dishonored 2 because options available in how you tackle tasks.
EDIT: Forgot Deus Ex... i submit that as third option because it warns of the potential future xD
...
South Park and Far Cry could be said to be balls to the wall (in one way or another) but jokes can grow tiresome and repeating the same tasks in different parts of the map can grow mundane.
HITMAN also offers options but I've never messed with the series so i'm unable to endorse it.
I'm in a "Feh" mood when it comes to story driven games as of late, dunno anything about the latest Civ (didn't Beyond Earth just come out? I guess that's not a proper Civ game but still), and i can't take Watch_Dogs seriously
Comment has been collapsed.
I dislike co-op/multiplayer games, so I can assure you that I will only play it as single-player. :/
Yeah, I've seen some gameplay and the multiple options look interesting. :D
Comment has been collapsed.
Because I love games with superpowers and Dishonored (1) was one of the funniest I have ever played
Comment has been collapsed.
I mean... the gameplay was really enjoyable
I translate "funny" with "divertente" which means uhm... something (in a generic manner) entertaining :\
Comment has been collapsed.
nvm it's not the first time it happens.
apparently using funny in the wrong way is my favorite sport :p

Imagine my reaction when I've heard, in the far past, our teacher telling us that gay means cheerful. xD So, yeah, I understand. :P

lol, I think that every non-english speaker had that reaction too xD

personally i'd scratch hitman off the list - full experience here and i played maybe 5-10mins (no idea why i have 10hr time on it, likely idle-bugged).. lame game imo.
as for the rest of the list.. i'd probably lean a bit more towards "watch dogs 2" or "far cry primal" personally. =) (don't own them, but they're the one's im most interested in from that list)
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmmm, you think? I've heard that you need to be always online when playing it. Is that true? If it's true, I won't buy it.
You are suggesting them, but why? :P
Comment has been collapsed.
yes, its online only for saving game and idk, its just dumb why, but yeah online 24/7 on hitman.
honestly unsure really, probably just like the concept of hacking stuff in watch dogs, and the trailers for it make it look amazing.
and for far cry primal, idk im intrigued to see how much different it is from the other farcrys really, so mostly just for curiosity reasons i guess on it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok, Hitman is off the list then. Shitty devs. >:(
Thanks for the answer then. ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't have any of these so I can only help with a bump ;-;
Although I would personally buy the Batman telltale game out of these, considering I have most of them in my wishlist myself. But 3-4 telltale games are among my all-time favorites, so I guess it's really subjective.
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks for the bump. ;P I love Batman, but I'm mostly used in fighting in Batman games, not talking, so are you sure? :P
Comment has been collapsed.
I personally really like telltale games' mechanics and the story is the most important in most games that I play (except for puzzles, but I guess that's obvious) so for me it's ideal ^^ But then again, I'm usually very indulgent when it comes to games, so I don't think my opinion counts that much, and it really depends on what type of game you'd prefer to play first :) I hope others will have more useful information than I do, haha.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, I also like Telltale games. And don't worry, you've been really helpful. ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
Deus Ex is really nice game Universe, And Mankind Divided gave me pretty happy 100+ hours of gameplay (slow pace). It's not flawless, but i really enjoyed it. As for Dishonored 2 - if you are considering to buy it, i assume you already played 1-st game, which was brilliant. I preordered 2-nd part long time ago and absolutely sure - it will be another great product. So i'm recommending only the games that i personally own. (And franchises i personally like - but it's matter of taste).
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, I've played Deus Ex and Dishonored in the past. I agree, their sequels look nice.

Hello, girls and guys! I would really appreciate it if you would help me choose which game I should buy from my wishlist to add in my steam library. I don't care about its release date, no matter how far it is. I also don't care about its price. Also, if a game is still in the pre-order phase, do you think it will get a discount in the Halloween sale or there's no chance to see that happening? Please answer me and choose a game and tell me why should I buy it. Thanks in advance!
