Quick question, I have the base game (From an HB monthly bundle I believe). If I activate this key, will there be any issue with my original license?
I believe this key will add the deluxe edition to my library and there shouldn't be an issue but I'm asking because I had problems with Hitman where I had to go and disable the free license for it before the full version of the game could be accessed.

No, this is a humble promotion and will not be priced as free through steam. You don't have to link your steam account to anything, humble emails you a key. You can also unsubscribe from the humble newsletter after you receive the key.

I remember something about devs being obligated to offer the game for free on Steam as well if they give it away massively elsewhere. I might be wrong and Steam freebies also generally don't give trading cards so one might as well pick it up off HB.

Quick FYI, if you already own the base game, this will add the Deluxe Upgrade Pack DLC to your game.

You're probably seeing the Digital Deluxe edition (people are creating GAs for the wrong version) since you can generally still enter for DLC - SG has no way of knowing whether or not you own any in that package. You can manually hide GAs for that particular edition though.
Edit: apparently I'm blind and Deluxe is indeed the right one, but SG still has no way of checking DLC so you will continue seeing giveaways until you manually hide them.

It wasn't humblebundle that might be in question, it's the report of freebies.
Sometimes the freebies that are reported here are incorrect, temp glitches that were fixed, super short duration events, limited to other countries, requiring other things like spending a lot of money, etc...
ANY report of a freebie is to be questioned because people make mistakes, and some people are creeps.
But since we're supposed to be a community, verifying working freebies is something you do to help your fellow SG members out.
(It also bumps the thread up, so that also helps people see it.)

First of all, humblebundle is legit. And never had false freebie reports except its region locked, not like VK or any other shaddy site.
