Only when a giveaway is removed do members that entered receive a refund of their entry. When a giveaway is removed, it also removes the points from the pool it gave upon creation. This is to prevent people creating fake giveaways just to give others 5% of the giveaway worth.

But if those points generated were spent on another giveaway, nothing happens, right?

Dramatic true story. I didn't see the twist coming. It's good that our local Robinhoods such as loko return points to the pool.

Hypothesis: someone creates a giveaway for something big - something that costs 100 dollars, to simplify. So automatically everyone except the guy gets 5 points (5%) for this good deed.
But TWIST!, it was actually fake, or possibly the guy screwed something up and in the end didn't have the game.
Meanwhile, one person who didn't have many points got those 5 and decided to use them in one giveaway. After that he has 0 points left (sad panda).
So, if someone makes a fake giveaway, does everyone get their 5P taken back from their accounts? What happens if they spent these points already? And to complicate things more, what if someone won a giveaway using these points?
