Although I studied German for two years, it was in high school, over 40 (sigh) years ago and I don't remember much more than being able to count to 10 or ask "Sprechen Sie Deutsch?" and then happily reply, to myself, "Nein, ich spreche nicht!". I was always better at translating on paper than actually speaking. It was a dear Hungarian priest who was the professor and his manner of correcting my poor attempts at achieving the guttural resonance and the umlaut-topped vowels still is fresh in my mind. While I did not like the guttural sound, nor how the verb tense was placed "normally" the actual verb was often at the end of the sentence (the red house which would have green if we had had more money painted!)... I did like how structured it was, how one could simply invent new words by joining other words together (although the results could become comically long!), and for a student trying to translate I loved that nouns were all capitalized!

Anyway, thank you so very much for doing what you are able to do to this community a better place make! (Ha! A Germanic sentence!) And I would be very pleased to be added to your whitelist.
