I have played AoE HD for many hours and lag rarely occurs if you join a lobby of someone who has decent ping.

I've spent many a summer evening playing Age of Mythology with friends and cousins over LAN. Usually it ended up with us losing to a ridiculous tactic at the hand of one of my older cousins. Wouldn't mind giving it another spin, though I'd be super rusty and I must admit I was never terribly good at it.

I am a somewhat-decent yet still noob-ish player looking to learn strategies and get used to all the races, as well as find new people to play and practice with.
