New beta Steamgifts leaks

Hey there, I'm pretty curious how it's possible that there are no SteamGifts Beta leaks, like screenshots and etc. People are really curious how does it look and I don't think it would be so hard to leak some screenshots without knowing who leaked it.

Some people even think that Steamgifts Beta doesnt even exist, but that's just a paranoia.

You want the truth? Very well, there is no beta site, cg's just pulling everyone's chain because people are always complaining about the site outages. His solution to the bitching and moaning was to say he was working on a special new version of the site that would fix everything.

Because we hand-picked ~20 users who we knew to be upstanding community members that have this things called "ethics".

And the beta hasn't expanded yet, because just in the first couple days, we flooded cg with enough solid suggestions to give him weeks worth of work to do, poor guy.

That being said, the URL to the site was discovered by many, and later accidentally leaked in a private chat, after which a non-beta user leaked it to several other chats and it was posted even in the SG chat.

I discovered the URL before v2 was even live and only had "..." as the entire content of the site. Sadly, you foiled my h4xx plans by requiring an actual invite code to register. Boo!

Yeah, there were only twenty-one users, not counting the mods, who we invited at first, based on the fact that we knew they could help out the site in various ways and that we know they could stay quiet because, as Bobo said, they had a concept of ethics and morality. Oh, and chronic got an invite too.

Sorry, ethics? I don't see how that's applicable here. If I'm reading the OP correctly, he's not talking about leaks of the link, he's just asking for screenshots of features, progress, etc. Is it wrong of us poor bastards who didn't get invited to the site to at least want to SEE it?

Actually, anyone who wants can check out the Steamgifts 2.0 site and see what it's like currently in development. There are now giveaway options for Desura and Origin, and they did away with the CV system.
