Gala Giveaways got a redesign...

they still have the crappy chat & the 'top contributors' is just a plain rip-off from SG (don't get me started on the rip-off part :p)

I have well over a million points and there is never a game on there that I don't already have. I used to just burn them off on the poker games and randomly on really expensive entries, but I don't even feel like doing it anymore.

I did get a kick out of their email, which said, "GalaGiveaways now supports ORIGIN games, which means you have the chance now to win FANTASTIC AAA titles!" They seem so happy that there is finally AAA games on their site. Of course they are bundled, so they still fit with the site.

It's a good place to throw away unneeded Desura and now Origin keys, but it's a very rare thing for me to find a game I don't already have on there. And when that happens, it's some overly expensive GA that eats up most of my points.

I was very annoyed by the fact that the entire site was moving all over the place as it was loading :/ at least this new design almost fixed that (not entirely).

But I still don't like the giveaway style... some GWs are 200 points some are 2mil... the points there are currency :/

I was using a Greasemonkey script that someone else wrote to do some basic filtering/hiding but the new design broke it. The script hasn't been updated since its initial release in February so I guess it's time for me to learn JavaScript.

Wait. Did they change it so you don't use a name and password to log on now? And now just use the steam thing?

The giveaway section looks a lot like SG now...

Also glad they updated the forum. (Old forum hurt my eyes.)
Now instead of making it look like the 90s, it looks like it's from the 2000s. :D

Also kinda sucky we can't filter games we own...
