I thought about watching it at the cinema when I had the chance but in hindsight I'm glad I decided against it. Welcome to my WL.

I normally enjoy the brand, any version of a speedster is normally enjoyable enough; this movie being the exception so far. :(
Thanks for the WL add.

What did you think about it?
I like it. Dark comedy about actual people problems with good amount of blood.
Nicolas Cage is also cool.

Thx!

Doesn't look great, but I might watch this just for the cast. I mean... Robert Englund, Bill Moseley and Danielle Harris? Sign me up, doesn't matter how bad the movie is. But I wanna know if you liked it or not. Welcome to my WL.

The Hobbit movies weren't quite as great as LotR (not a big surprise) but I still enjoyed them. Welcome to my WL.

You made me realise that its been a long time since I watched movies.

The last one I watched was the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie in cinemas. Was really cool seeing the smooth animation and fight scenes.

I've read that it's actually a prequel to the anime, so if I wanted to get into the anime, watching the movie first would actually be a great idea, right? Welcome to my WL.

Comment has been collapsed.

Yup it's a prequel to the entire series, but personally I think it's a tossup which is better.

I didn't know about 0, but went with the normal JJK series first. I actually liked the main JJK protagonist Yuji more than Yuta from JJK 0. Because I felt the first episode already "hooked me in" with the situation the mc was in. Not sure if you'd have the same opinion I have though.

Green Book- I really liked how the topic of racial inequality was revealed, the main message that I learned for myself: it is not necessary to make an impression about a person based on common sterotypes. And that we can all learn something from each other, regardless of our social status and position in society. anyway, in general, we are all the same. the film left very warm feelings after watching

I will say that I still prefer the 1st since it's the introduction and with a really touching story, but the 3rd is close behind it :)

The Fire Within:A Requiem for Katia and Maurice Krafft(2022)

It's a Werner Herzog documentary where instead of giving you the biography of these two scientists who dedicated their lives to volcanoes,he just shows you the footage they shot in their line of work and extracts dark poetry from it. I usually look to get more knowledge from a documentary than an audiovisual spectale but it's a fine piece of filmmaking nonetheless.

I recognize those names. Fire of Love (2022), which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary at the most recent Academy Awards, was actually about them. I feel like Herzog's documentary would be a great companion piece to it. Welcome to my WL.

Wonder Woman 1984

It's "free" on Amazon Prime right now, so I thought, "Why not? How bad can it be? Gal Gadot is gorgeous."

Ooof. It's bad. Boring story, awkward dialog, nonsensical plot... Gal is still gorgeous though. 😛

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen from 1988, directed by Terry Gilliam.

I am not sure if I would recommend. Terry Gilliam can be hit or miss... 😅 Some of his movies I relly like, like for example 12 monkeys, but this one was "okay" at best...

I thought it was very imaginative and as a German I've of course known about Baron von Münchhausen all my life, so I can say that his tales were translated to the screen very well. Welcome to my WL.

Wow that sounds like an experience. The movie also summarizes whats wrong with this generation, including us sometimes as well.

We are so focused on showing what we do to the world that we don't both living or enjoying the moment.

Watched Army of Darkness last night with my wife. She's been wanting to see the new Evil Dead Rise, but she's also never seen any of the Evil Dead franchine before, so we been watching the franchise together this week. Evil Dead 2 is my personal favorite :)

Oh yeah, great movies. I have yet to watch the 2 new ones myself, but the original trilogy is just great. And sure, Army of Darkness is a lot different than the 2 movies that came before, but it's too good to be overlooked by so many people. Welcome to my WL.

For myself, Evil Dead 2 is just barely ahead of Army of Darkness, but I absolutely love both movies. The first movie is good too but not really canon since Evil Dead 2 is a retelling (rewrite?) of the first movie. Thanks for adding me to your WL :)
