How do you find time to play games?

View Results
I have a clone I swap duties with.
heh...I find time by removing sleep.
time? I have nothing but time!
wait why would you need time just to idle your games :O

Bump. I'm retired. Only limitation I have is "dead butt" syndrome when I play too long.

You clearly need to get a buttkicker to combat that. ;)

Where is the "I procrastinate too much with my time and regret it often" option ;w;

playing boardgames is even harder. I can't say "let's continue next week". I know the board will be knocked over before then.

Well don't I know that face? Don't I clicky on links with that face? <3
Also... I get confused by HLTB times, like... I ALWAYS need more time. And I really can't imagine I'm that slow a reader o.o

A lot of HLTB times are put there by people who absolutely rush through the game. I think they see it as a competition, like a target to beat.

I've seen times posted for a kinetic visual novel that were 1/4-1/3 of the time it took me - I may not be the fastest reader, but there's no way they're reading 3-4 times faster than I am. They must be just skipping all the dialog, at which point why are they even playing a visual novel?

The "Main Story" time is often completely unrealistic for certain genres - like playing through an RPG or open-world game without doing a single side-quest or optional activity? Who actually plays like that?

I like adding my times to HLTB sometimes just to try to skew the figures back to normal. :)

Yeah, my thoughts exactly!

I created an acc on HLTB but then I didn't quite get how it worked out and never really update my times there. Although it might be sometimes interesting, with me aiming with a lot of game for 100%

HLTB is far from intuitive to use. You log in, search for the game, click on the game, and then click the Complete button on the left to add it to your Completed list and then fill in the info on the right and click submit. When you enter one time, additional time options open up, and you can change the times before clicking Submit at the bottom.

Or you can click on your profile, click on All next to My Games, then find the game in that list and click the pencil to add your playtime.

I should... give it another chance and improve the numbers I guess. Or anti-improve, since games might take longer :D

If using times I think the times on a-stats are a bit more accurate

I've never used AStats before, but taking a look they do seem to be more accurate - or at least a lot closer to my own times.

I feel your pain. I often download demos, and then can't even find the time to play them.

I mostly play games vicariously through reading reviews.

Whenever I don't have time for games it means that something important is going on in life, so I'm usually happy when that happens.

Started my internship..But still living in dorms, so room is small and I dont take my PC with me. Ive been going to different countries with work, so havent been home either..Also my parents are going through a divorce, so Im kind of being thrown out of balance with all my stuff as I dont really have my own place while I study..
Havent had time for games at all.. Its already 10.00 pm, and have to drive 100 km to work tomorrow at 8.00 .. But Im thinking of squeezing in some hour or two of gaming tonight before sleep :D

Yesterday I watched some video on YT where a person described "45 best games he played in 2017". It had a lot of short and middle-length ones, but also really long ones like Nier or new Zelda (which he played for over 200h). After watching this I was like "Man... I'd love to have at least a one third of the time you have to play games... :<"
