WTF AMD Dirt 3 promo ended?!

Ok so I bought a laptop IN November of 2012, brand new that they started selling around June. It comes with a DIrt 3 promo code card from AMD. WHen I go to the site - amd4u.com/dirt3promo - it says website not found. SO after looking at the fine print on the bottom of the card, I spot a little piece of text that reads "Promotion ends December 31, 2011". SO my question is, why the FUCKdid they put it in a new laptop box is it expired the year before?! I was looking forward to playing it too!

Not sure what that fucking means, but this is really the only place I've found where people actually know who to contact or just anything in general

It's not like you're going to be able to just contact support and they'll agree to give you a game from a promotion that ended over a year ago. There's really nothing that can be done aside from forgetting about it.

Well we saw it in walmart in june afer they brought out some new stock and put it in layaway in September, paying it off in november,

The company I work for bought a bunch of AMD cards, but only one person redeemed one code. The rest has gone to waste. The last time the page was accessible was last Friday, if I'm not mistaken.

Same thing happened to me, bought a graphics card a few months ago but the promotion was over when I tried to redeem it!

Honestly that's no big deal. Clearly you haven't been to some of the less fortunate places in the world where things get sold for high prices without warranty, already faulty etc.

Still odd that they would be continuing to distribute codes for a promo that ended at the end of 2011.

You would figure they would just throw the promo cards out rather than packing them into new PCs for no reason.

They didn't pack them into a new PC. Those PCs had probably been sitting in a warehouse for six-to-twelve months before Walmart bought them, and then it was probably two or three months before the store got them.

It happens. That is pretty much all that can be said. People who have had trouble with AMD promos like that one almost never ever get anything back in return and the thing is useless. I almost went insane trying to get my Far Cry 3 one to work as Uplay is annoying as hell.

It only officialy ended on December 31st 2011. I've got my promo Dirt in August 2012 :-)

I went to www.amd.com/dirt3promo, typed in code from the card and 4 days later got a response from AMD with a Steam key.
But that was in August 2012, now that site is down and probably won't be up again.

yeah, I was hoping to find a wayback of it but no go. :( Wish I would have redeemed it back in November if it were up, but I wasn't sure I wanted it then and I didn't see an expiration date on it. I digured it was good till like march or april of this year, like alot of promos do
