Strike Vector is currently on a flash sale for dirt cheap.
You should be aware of two things :

The game is awesome.
The game has next to no players active.

I suggest you all buy a copy while it's so cheap, and then we can set up some games amongst ourselves.
Do we have anybody with strong connections and delicious routers able to host matches for us?

Seriously, dead?

Wow for a game released in 2014 this is pretty bad. I guess they need to be in a bundle, or maybe this sale can help.

EDIT: yeah, for a multiplayer game that's pretty much dead http://steamcharts.com/app/246700

That's the trouble with multiplayer-only games. Even if there are people interested in playing, once the number of servers dies down it goes into a sort of swan-dive. People log into games to play them, not set up and wait for an hour in the hopes of seeing one or two people. Nobody hosts and waits, so nobody gathers up. The same thing happened to Shattered Horizon and Monday Night Combat which were both damn good multiplayer games. Other games like Gimbal and The Ship also croaked in a similar manner, though you can sometimes still find a session to hop into.

A review of the game said it best. The game itself is A+, but without an active community / serverlist, there's nothing to do.

The steam free weekend things are good for revitalising games like this, but a certain critical mass of players needs to be hit, otherwise it dies out. Rather than jumping in at random and praying for a game, it would be FAR better if the playerbase organised themselves with an offline schedule. That way you'd know when to host and when to go looking, right?
