It is in a way isn't it? The way society relates the color White with positive connotations, while Black generally has negative connotations? But then again people aren't really black, they're shades of brown.

Good point! I remember reading a paper about some of the hidden meanings in Smurfs (as seen by the writer of course). Some were a stretch, but it was an interesting read.

Oh, I was talking about the new Secret Wars. If you read comics you should check it out! It's technically Secret Wars 3 I suppose? Issue #1 came out last week, and the writing and art are some of the best I've seen in comics. The writer is Hickman who does East of West for Image, which is another great series.

Well, without giving spoilers, the Beyonder is involved, so it's barely connected, but there is a small thread between them. I think they just liked the Secret Wars title haha. But it is really good so far, and the Beyonder involvement is actually important to the plot and works well.

Are you talking about the original Secret Wars or the new one that just started? If talking about the original then Yes, it's definitely one of the better stories Marvel has done.
Which in a way is kind of sad when you think about it. That story took place when? The mid-80's. And still ranks up there as one of the best stories/events Marvel has EVER done.
