I'm curious how many early access games you guys own and what's your experience with them?

Here's a list of the early access titles I own:

I'd say that I like Prison Architect, Craft the World and Endless Legend the most.

Starbound and Prison Architect are the most finished/playable.

I'd ask for a refund of Space Engineers because it's a laggy mess and I can't run it (even though my rig exceeds the requirements)

I wouldn't pay full price for Calibre 10 (got it for free) or Nekro (got it from bundle)

Anyway what's your experience?

How well optimized Verdun is? It seems really interesting but I "just" meet the minimum requirements.

i think it's optimized pretty well. Almost all maps are great in playing, only the latest one is bit off, as for me it almost halves fps from other maps. I'm not playing on the highest settings, somewhere in middle and have average of 60+ FPS

I played quite a while Starbound after getting it in that humble bundle limited to 1000 keys, loved playing it even if I eventually switched to other games.

I own Kinetic Void, which was empty as far as space and gameplay are concerned last time I checked it. But it has a fun ship editor.

The lack of Kerbal in this thread saddens me.

Prison Architect and Grim Dawn. The first was a gift from a friend, and while I loved the principles, am waiting for it to be finished before trying it again. Grim Dawn was the result of backing its Kickstarter.

I don't even know any more, my backlog is too damn big. There are six I'm aware of: Rust, DayZ, Nether, Starbound, Space Engineers, and Interplanetary.

Starbound - picked up for free with GMG credit, haven't touched it yet due to wanting to finish other games first, but my bro loved the game so much I got him a copy for his birthday (paid for!)
Paranautical Activity - couldn't run on my shit PC :(
Melody's Escape - great alternative to Audiosurf, one of my fave games
Vox - idled for cards, haven't tried it yet
Victory: The Age of Racing - interesting car racing simulator, though I haven't played for a while since I found out I suck at it
Interstellar Marines - played for a while, for an indie game it looks STUNNING but still a bit laggy on my bro's PC
Epigenesis - haven't played yet
Last Knight: Rogue Rider Edition - idled for cards, haven't tried it yet
Gravi - fun but really hard, stopped after first 2 hours, maybe I should get back to it soon
Gnomoria - haven't played yet

None. I don't believe in paying to beta test other peoples games. But if I did, the only one that interests me in Snow.

From the most enjoyable games to the worst ones: Gnomoria, Starbound, Assault Android Cactus, Dungeon Dashers, Under the Ocean, Steam Marines, Godus (the last game should rot in hell for eternity)

Besides I'm thinking about buying Lichdom: Battlemage, Imagine Earth and Heavy Bullets. Any opinions about these ones?

None. Early access games are overpriced.

Absolutely this. I will only pay for finished games. If they want me to beta test, I will, but I sure ain't paying for it.

i have Age of Decadence and Divinty Original Sin, none of these were bough from Steam store. Age of Decadence was bought directly from developers site for preorder and Divinty Original Sin was obtained via supporting their Kickstarter.

Dungeon of the Endless & Endless Legend (And Don't Starve: Reign of Giants, when that was Early Access).

The Endless games are cool aren't they, I like both Endless Space & Legend. I don't own Dungeon of the Endless but I heard that it's connected to the universe too.

Technically we don't "own" a single game we have access to on steam.
That said, I don't wish to pay developers for unfinished products, that might never get finished. Paying someone to actually do a job (testing) is dumb, it's like paying some farmer to pick their apples or potatoes...

Yep technically we don't own the games, just licence them for an undefined time. (basically forever) I got most of my EA games as a bargain (opening 4-pack, gifted by a friend etc) I wouldn't pay the full price for any of them, they're just not THAT good. (I'd probably pay full price for the finished Endless Legend though)
