Do you think $60 dollars for a multiplayer game is fair?
Depends on the game. I have paid $60 for an online-only game (e.g. SWTOR, LOTRO, BF1942) before, and I would do it again if I felt it was worth the money.
Many online games, however, are not even worth $30, much less $60.

How much are 60$ for you?
It is only paper or numbers without any worth before someone give it a worth.
I think the treadquestion is crap.
It is impossible to answer correct with onyl yes or no.
I mean i can i say it is worth to pay 60$ for a game that i can´t play because it is permanent lagging... yes i can but it would be stupid.
Same for a game with that price that i can play over 1000 of hours with much fun and interaction between friends for even more fun.
So from what we are talking about?
A diffrence between day and night.

If you are thinking one moment more about it you know from what i´m talking about.
Just pointless.
Oh and btw if potato was an option people would maybe chose this.

No way i would pay 60$ for a multiplayer only unless its something really big and epic like The elder scrolls series or fallout multiplayerish i don't even pay oer 60$ for any game unless you get something really cool from pre ordering it if not i just buy them online for cheap

If you can play it to make it worth the amount of hours, then yeah. But usually I'd say no. For example GTA5, (even though it has single player), started out at $60 I believe, but I didnt buy it. Now its around $40 on many sites, so I think its worth 40. Depends on your mindset.

No but $60 base game + $50 season pass is totally worth it! /sarcasm
Anyway, I have quite a few biases that sway my opinion towards "no":
1) I am so spoiled by Steam sales that I never buy anything full price nor often over $15.
2) I realized that I can get equal, if not more, enjoyment from significantly cheaper (often indie) games.
3) I tend to divide my gaming time over a variety of games rather than focus on one game. $60 per game for the former would be expensive.
4) AAA multiplayer games often get sequels which render the community of previous titles all but dead.
5) The $60 price tag often accompanies AAA games with an incomplete base game, season passes, day-one DLC, excessive DLC, additional DRM clients, and slimy publishers. I have lost faith and interest in many of the publishers that dominate the market and therefore I've lost a degree of interest in the AAA scene as a whole.
6) I fondly recall when games were $50 with no thought of season passes and only a few afterthought DLC. Then Activision/COD hiked the price to $60 and set a trend.
My only positive bias is that I prefer multiplayer games over singleplayer games.

personally, anything over free is too much for a solely multiplayer game.

Apologies if the question has been asked before and is stuck somewhere deep down in the dark recess of this forum. Do feel its a fair asking price or do you think you are being ripped off as a consumer?
