I've enjoyed many a Final Fantasy game, but my favorite has to be FFX. I've owned it on 3 different platforms now (and in an emulator for a while when I could no longer use the PS2). I really enjoyed the turn based system it uses (among many other things), and can't seem to find anything quite like it in other games. Definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't had a go at it yet! ð

FF10 is a great game, i can't even remember how many hours i have spent on Blitzball. The only think i didn't like in the game were those akward laugh moments with Tidus and Yuna, also they ruined it with FFX-2.

OH the fake laughing scenes, ahh, the cringe. ðđ Yeah, I tried to play FFX-2, but I didn't like it either. If that was the theme, why sit Lulu out? Never really understood that. And while being able to change class on the fly might be cool, I much preferred being able to fill out the whole Sphere Grid as I went along, choosing which paths to take, and letting everyone be versatile eventually. ð―

FF8 also have a special place in my heart, me and my bff too. But in my case i didnt have a console or pc that could run it so i have more of a platonic relationship- ive played quite a bit of it at some friends houses, and only years later i could finally play it via emulation, already dated and the gameplay didnt hold me as much. But im still enamorated by the world and i know even that may look dated now but i still think the gunblade is extremely cool (and Squall the most cool and badass FF protagonist).
I mean, looking back a lot of the 2000s ideas of cool were kinda tacky... and heck Squall, what kind of name is that? And how does a gunblade even work, and that kinda of handle is probably too awkward for a melee sword and and...
...and i dont care. My brain doesnt care. Sure i was hyped with ff7 remake but all i could think of WHY NOT FF8. That ridiculous giant sword and that spiked hair, why everyone overpraises FF7 so much when we have Squall?
I dont care if hes too edgy and someone just slapped a sword and revolver together over a rocker with a silly name. Squall captured my heart, and heck im straight. Thats how awesome he is.

Sadly FF8 wasnt as well received as FF7 and FF9 mostly because of the not so friendly Junction system. There are rumors for a FF9 remake but nothing for FF8 ðĨ
As for the name Squall i don't know what kind of fetish Square Enix has with weather phenomena. FF7 has Cloud, in FF10 Tidus probably means tides, FF13 has Lightning and Snow ð

It has been 10 years on this site, how fast time goes by. I can't remember how i found out about this site but i remember that i was very sceptical at first and thought it was some kind of scam. It took me around 4 months to win my first giveaway and be convinced it was legit. I rarely participate in discussions, what i always liked was participating in events and puzzles. I don't have much patience and time for puzzles any more but for events i always try to contribute in community trains and christmas presents. Ok i talked too much, lets go to what you came here for.
